Stretch Armstrong levels of reach here.

Seriously, I skip beachhead WQ any time I possibly can on all of my toons.

I doubt I've done Beachhead even 37 times.

Make Loh Go or Shell Game? For sure 37 times.

Sorry Nola :(
760M turtles
Let’s average 1 quest per week per sub = 144 turtles per sub (12 turtles at 12 weeks)

760M / 144 = 5.28M roughly.

5.28 is a lot more believable than 1.7, but still seems low. But as some have said, a lot of people hate that quest and avoid it. I’ve only done it 3 times.
I have done that quest a total of zero times. I wonder how many others just decided to skip it entirely.

If i had a tin foil fedora award i would give it to you.

Beat me too it, tho I was looking for that picture of the guy in the tin foil hat with the radio and it has in big bold letters, "IT'S A CONSPIRACY!"

Why 37? You literally just picked the number that confirmed your bias.

I certainly don't think I've even done that quest 37 times, and I likely have done it quite a bit more than the average player. There's NO way that 37 is the average.

In Ion's opening remarks he stated roughly 760 million turtles have made it to the water.

760 M (turtles have made it to the water) / 12 = ~63 M times that particular quest was completed.

If we plug in the 1.7 M unconfirmed/very controversial sub estimate from the addon devs…. that would leave us with each sub completing that particular quest ~37 times.

The number is about right for my sub. How about yours?

How many times have you completed the turtle making it to water quest on all your characters?
Done it about 10 times total, those turtle quests can get (you know what)
So many people taking this way too seriously

Inb4 someone reads way too deep into this like they did the last time you said that

Edit:
Nevermind that was another stretchy super hero

Please... continue your snarky comments but please also answer the question:

How many times do you estimate you did that particular quest?

Cause with an average... we can plug that number and validate/invalidate the 1.7M sub estimate.

IDK, less than 9? Look at me rep, i hate tortolan anything and once i saw it had no advantage past revered i bailed on it. I might do a shell game every now and again if its close to some other ones i need for an emissary because its free points.

Every people seem to try and come up with ways to claim wow is dying.

Every day they seem to have to stretch and stretch further.

Im not saying anything is dying. I am not saying the 1.7M sub number was correct. I suspect it is very low. My guess is around 4M.

If people provided a reasonable estimate of how many times they completed that particular quest... you know... numbers and math and stuff.

Btw... Ion stated 760M was a roughly a true number.
I doubt even half the playerbase has done Beachhead more than 10 times. Or even more than once.

I liked that World Quest and I doubt I did it that many times, as I stopped doing those World Quests as soon as I got Revered with them.

Not to mention the reasoning by itself is terrible. You are assuming that the "1.7 million subs" is true when it's what you wanted to prove. You should have tried reasoning the other way around (roughly 63 million Beachheads have been completed; a player on average has completed Beachhead X times, so the number of subs is roughly Y)

You're dum.

dum. heh

;)

Hehe, glad you could see the funny.
I don't think so, but come on. Subs are really low.

In-game activity is really low.

Player morale is maybe lower than it was in WoD . . .something I didn't think was possible prior to Blizzard ending the game.

I'm not happy about this. I want WoW to be a good game and to have engaged players who have to resort to dumb complaints to troll people again,

The lengths people will go through to try to validate false information is astounding.

The force is strong in you, Sweetness!
I've only done that one three - five times, from memory.

That's all 100% subjective opinion though.

Not a single bit of it can actually be proven with data.

From my perspective, in-game activity is the same - and "player morale" is the same as ever, which is hyper-negativity from the haters, and everyone else just the same.
I've done that WQ like... 3-4 times max in the last few months. 37 is probably wayyyy too high for the average person.

Bingo!

You absolutely proved the 1.7 million number.
I knew it was correct and I logically proved it when the number came out.
This is more proof!
