Did I accidentally ninja?

So what is MS for a 2hander on alliance?

It’s up to each group. I personally consider full 2h pve a meme but a 2h is useful for trash cleave.

If for whatever reason i was RL and I brought a pure 2h DPS warrior, I would clarify beforehand whether or not they should be able to have 2h prio over 1h.

Clarification at start of raid helps everyone have understanding, whatever the rules may be.

Every character only has 1 lockout for the week. Guidelines helps each player choose the right group for them. Knowingly breaking those rules is in bad faith.

You are a ninja.

I use a 2hander for cleaves and pvp. Anyone that uses 2h melee as MS on ally side is playing bad spec anyway. I don’t believe in rewarding them with some of the coolest weapons in the game for bringing a trash spec to raids<3. They can roll against every other melee if they wanna run that garbage.

Sure, I agree. You choose a poor example. They would most likely not even get invited if they raised that thought.

Depends
If it’s BRE/Ash first goes to arms warriors (hope u did not invite them /shrug) the fury

Rag or proc type weapons that stack sp dmg Ret then is Paladin that will go get it.
Then warriors . Yes at least one ret in raid is optimal. Because they provide 200-400 ST dps with 50-150 dispels.
Healers would drop 200 hps to dispel but ret doesn’t drop no dps to dispel.
Say as boomkin one is optimal in raid but that’s another story. (Why? Mage decurse drops the mage dps st to 200, while a boomkin can provide crit, 300 to 400 dps while dispelling). More optimal than a mage decurses while dps but that a different topic.

So fourth but that should be discussed before raid begins.

I get invited just fine to pugs using a 2h. Not everyone minmaxes. Plenty of casual groups out there that don’t care and just wanna mess around.

Arms? At least DW fury can put the 2hander on during cleave fights and be helpful for the raid. You dont melee ever do you?

If you go daggers for it then id be fine. My issue would come if you took a dagger then remained swords and used the dagger for OS things

If it was MS>OS rules though then at that time Dagger was your OS therefor not right

I doubt you were being malicious. Just letting you understand it from the otherside

Every group is different as I have mentioned.

Thats fine. Just don’t expect other melee to pass on these cool weapons just because you picked a casual fun spec to run around with.

Actually a one ret is optimal in a raid.

Ret provides,
ST DPs 200-400 with 50-150 dispels.
Can aoe tank to assist mages with aoe packs.

Healers hps drop drastically with dispels.
One ret elevates an additional healer for only dispel with provide other benefits.

I said arms…why arms?

Nah not anymore sents ummm 2009ish.

I don’t think that word means what you think it does.

adjective

  1. best or most favorable; optimum.

Let say instead of a ret you bring someone to dispel. They provide that and same but like 100hps and can’t help as well with aoe mobs. (Viable)

Ret could maintain 50-150 dispels with 200-400 single target dispel with that axe. Optimal. Actually seen rets when need 99 parse for healing when not needed.
Again one ret is optimal. Seen it done

Ok let me check and see if the top clearing guilds have a single ret…gimme a few mins.

…nope

Ret and hunter.

I don’t know but I know numbers.

It’s either you have 50-150 dispels with 100-200 hps.(until T3)

Or

50-150 dispels with 200-400 dps

Then it changes.

Or you consume. which dispels are you speaking of specifically?
