Did enchantment scrolls exist?

Howdy,

It was a long time ago, but when I started in BC it seems like enchantment scrolls didn’t exist. You had to put an item in the modify box in trade and have an enchanter enchant it, like with lockboxes and rogues.

Is that correct? I’m trying to figure out professions, and figure out whether my enchanter will be able to enchant my alts gear. I want to be able to enchant my own gear on my raid toon, but I’m still a little undecided on which healer to raid with. That might effect which alt gets which profession

Thanks kindly

No I think that was wrath when they came out probably wrath pre patch

No, you have to do it face to face.

Thought so, thanks for the quick replies

I remember tipping a enchanter 100g to enchant this warrior’s sword
You had to put the item in the non trade section of the trade window
for the enchanter to add the enchant.

Enchant scrolls are burning crusade. Here, you have to directly cast on the person. This makes enchanting quite painful in classic. If you want to sell them, you have to stand around spamming and hope someone cares.

Enchant scrolls are WotLK; they were created by the Inscription profession, and thus did not exist until that profession was added.

Have to open the trade menu and put it in the bottom no trade box

Not enchanting but man I will be excited to see and use all the buff scrolls that drop while leveling!
