Did blizz confirm the season is ending in January?

I’ve searched but haven’t found a concrete confirmation, people seemed unsure if they meant Mythic season or arena season in their blue post which mentioned it ending in January. Is there a chance it will end when 8.1 hits? Thanks

Hello.

As we’re now three weeks from beginning the Tides of Vengeance content update, we wanted to make it known that the current PvP Season will not be ending at that time.

We expect to end the current season in January 2019, and we will provide an exact date for that in a few weeks.

Blizzard should put the old pvp ranking back where it shows those top 5000 players not just those of elite players. the more ppl in the list the more ppl will try hard to be in the list and more people will stay in this game. Players that saw their names in old style top 5000 feels that they are good players, its an encouragement for us so they/we will stay in wow.
