Did bliz change the starting weapon in nazjatar ilvl?

How is obsoleting a weapon drop from LFR/normal EP before it even releases for every single character hurting nothing??

All for doing thr most basix quest.

it’s warfront appearance.

Aotc and CE are not gone.

Mythic+ loot caps are in place.

Clearly Blizzard disagrees.

lol everyone was saying hold off on farming better weaps until 8.2 you’re getting a free 415…well surprise!!!

This isn’t the high school debate team, sorry.

Mythic is 445.

It’s not “mythic”. It’s normal.

Casuals were never intended to be able to do content in that zone. The tuning shows it is strictly intended for raid geared players to farm gear for their alts.

Looks like that month’s old 385 weapon is coming with me to the end of the expansion.

Which stinks since your weapons are the core DPS item for your whole class’s DPS output.

Maybe RNGesus will bless me this time around?

@angorwal

would you be willing to take a caster on this alt , the alt I had hopes to take to nazjatar while unlocking flying, with gear compasrable to mine and unlock flying thus geared?

Since that is the question, would you, will you , can you?

ill be taking my fresh 120 shaman so we shall see.

Technically, it is both at the same time. It is mythic BoD caliber and normal ET (which won’t even be open for 2 weeks).

A 370 weapon is useless to 90% of the players right now who have been playing - all it is good for is a shard.

Unless you can prove what you are saying, it is just fake news that you pulled out of … the nether.

Ok I’ll argue on your terms, even though the new raid isn’t out yet.

Why would you expect a 5 minute intro quest to reward you with a normal raid weapon?

Why would you expect a weapon upgrade for doing a trivial quest? I did it on the PTR with an ilvl 330 character, and it was still trivially easy. I got a 370 weapon, massive upgrade, that I didn’t feel like I earned.

370 ilvl weapon for my two upcoming 120’s is going to be a gem and a relief for me not to have to stress about a semi decent weapon.

All my other 120’s who have 370 or better, oh well. I’d honestly have been more than a little disappointed in Blizz if they had left it at 415 … you literally get it within the first 3-4 quests of the entire zone.

The weapons I do have which are 400+ I had to bust my rear off for. If I got something better in less than 15 minutes into a new zone, that’d be on par with how I felt when I came back after a break from WotLK into Cata and my lock, who had been 3rd best on the server at the time I opted to take a break, was getting his crap replaced by blues from the first 5 man he did.

It’s working as intended.

The same reason an intro quest you can skip for the expansion gives you a raid equivalent weapon for the time? To catch players up?

Agreed. The point of these intro quests is to get everyone to a minimum baseline ilvl so they can participate in the other aspects of the patch. 370 seems like a pretty reasonable baseline.

If these quests were giving items that were better than people who have been raiding for the last 6 months, I would feel really sorry for those people. Honestly, 370 might even be too high, IMO.

No, I wasn’t on Trump’s high school debating team either.

The forum thread where people complained endlessly about the 415 is currently on the front page of the forums. Don’t be lazy.

I don’t actually disagree with this, but then they should have tested it with a 370 weapon, so that players testing the zones had gear that accurately reflected the way things would work on live. Testing the zone with the skewed power level a 415 weapon will give means the mobs are likely going to be overtuned for casual or returning players.

I think they should have gone a bit higher, at least 385, perhaps as high as 400.

370 is pretty trivial.
