Did Arthas every interact with Anduin?

Trash alternate timeline.

Best alternate timeline is Arthas has a bad dream about the terrible main timeline, and writes love letters to a surprised Ranger-General. They marry, and Jaina chooses the superior stud from Quel’thalas.

Is there some innuendo there about Arthas sticking Sylvannas with a sword and making her his slave?.. How Freudian.

It would be easy enough to say “Whoops! Our timeline wasn’t the real one after all! Those silly bronze dragons got all confused.” Basically some version of a wizard did it.

Yes, Arthas went to Stormwind to visit Varian, Tiffin, and baby Anduin. The thing is, the plague of undeath hit Lordaeron when Anduin was a toddler or a very young child, so there’s not much opportunity for meaningful interaction between the two.

Indeed.

That tweet from Golden is one of the most frightening things she has ever written about WoW.

Although… if she got removed from the actual canon lore and started working on novels that are based on AU’s that never impact the actual story… that could be a boon.

She is not “workshopping” anything. The timeline she is talking about already exist, or did, however you want with timeline shenanigans. She only expanded on it in a way that is fairly superfluous to the book which it was based but fascinating in a “what if” kind of way.

Christie Golden is just abysmal.

While I agree with you, to be fair Wrath was just one expansion.

The entire end of MoP had been all orcs. And then that led into an orc expansion.

So we are counting sha (created by the sha of pride), mantid (Paragons of the Klaxxi) and mogu (Mogu tech and statues that the Kor’kron took from Pandaria) along with Blackfuses goblins as “orcs” now? Because only 5 or so bosses in Siege of Orgrimmar were orcs or had orcs in a major way. Those are;

Galakras (Zaela and her Dragonmaw clan)
Dark Shamans
Nazgrim
Malkorok
Garrosh Hellscream

You could count Thok in that list because his fight has have orc add(s) when he gets pushed to phase 2, but it is a pretty minor involvement.

Besides, there were scourge in vanilla and TBC. Hell you even see the Legion fighting against the scourge on the Isle of Quel’danas.

Yes, because only a pedantic **** would try an pretend Seige of Orgimmar, an assault on the orc capitol, wasn’t an orc raid because “Oh, but there was that one room with mantids in it!”

And 90% of the trash mobs.

Sorry, but what I said was not being pedantic. You claimed that ALL of the finale of MoP was nothing but orcs. I provided examples where that is not true. Hell, roughly the first 1/4 of the raid is in the Vale of Eternal Blossoms, not Orgrimmar (4/14 bosses, so 2/7 of the raid). That alone proves you were wrong. Sorry that the rules of basic logic makes you angry. All it takes to disprove a “for all statement” is to provide one (count them, ONE) counter-example. I did more than that.

Also covering up swear words with censors like you did is still against the forums code of conduct. Trust me, I got suspended for doing that.

How can 90% of the trash be orcs and orcs alone when around 1/4 of the raid takes place on Pandaria where you are fighting Sha and Sha corrupted enemies?.

Hell, most of the trash you fight in Orgrimmar can be avoided or skipped. Like most of the trash towards and after Malkorok. If you are alliance, the entire gauntlet section after the mini rest area post Malkorok gets cleared for you.

You know what? That’s fair. I actually forgot that first wing was part of SoO.

The best fix is for the 10.0 prepatch to consist of Taran Zhu shaking us awake and telling us we passed out after a week-long post SOO bender. The story then proceeds from the end of MoP, with War Crimes onward “all a dream.”

A terrible, terrible dream.

This will allow them to give the the Old Gods and the naga the full expansions they deserved.

But Legion was good.

Then we get to experience Legion a second time, but without the pain points of the early expansion. Win/win!

There is next to no reason to assume Blizzard will ever do a hard reset like that. Even assuming they wanted to, they would literally have to delete allied races to even make that barely coherent.

Goes to show for obsessed Golden is with writing her characters that she even has an alternate time line story she wants to writes.

Honestly the fact the developers keep harping on about the supposed relationship between Anduin, Sylvanas and the Jailer where the was none. Hell Anduin hadn’t even met Sylvanas till BTS and certianly has had nothing to do with the Jailer. Its Sad forced writing to try make her characters Prominent which has only hurt them.

How many times must it said, this alternate timeline already exist!

They are saying their is a relationship because of the lines that have formed between them since BTS, at least with regard to Sylvanas. Regardless of what you think, the two ended up being mirrors of each other in that both ended up leaders of an entire faction and both making decision that ultimately affected the entire world.

Yes, one that has no current place in the story but clearly she wants to write. Thrall(the book) was a contrived peice of garbage that was again written to put forward a NPC mary sue to save the world. its everything wrong with the current game.

Yet if you take away BTS which tries to force this connection. The fact is the two characters have no common ground. They are essentially two people from two completely different time periods and back grounds. Anduin hasn’t had to face any of the trials Sylvanas(or arthas for that matter) yet proceeds to judge her actions.

I mean sure Sylvanas’s actions don’t make sense but again its because the writer doesn’t know what they are doing.

Because said book would be interesting! A timeline where Arthas/Jaina actually married and are now taking refuge in Stormwind, while Blakmoore control the Horde as his own personal army(with human Kel’thusad having his ear) is a interesting concept as far as alternate timelines go. We could actually see Arthas not end up the Lich King and see a different side of him.

As for the Thrall book, it was fine for what it was and had its own emotional highlights(like Krasus sacrificing himself to stop the Twilight’s Hammer).
