Diablo Immortal: Spend 50k+ To Get You Character BiS OR 10+ years of Dailies

Ah, I thought most of the pve stuff was soloable. If the majority of endgame is locked behind group content, I probably won’t bother. I don’t mind playing in groups, but I don’t want to feel pressured to gear up asap (i.e. pay for upgrades) so I can get in groups to experience it.

That’s crazy I’ll have to check this out myself.

I played for about 30m last night on my phone. It was way more polished than I expected. Controls were pretty good using just touch screen, Necromancer seemed like a lot of fun.
I don’t see myself every spending any money on it though, even if it takes bnet balance on PC which I’m not sure about.

Heres a fantastic idea, lets sit quietly in our various dark rooms and stare at the wall while corporate greed sucks the soul out of every last vestige of entertainment we have left.

OR we can shine a light on these terrible selfish design choices that are made to line the pockets of these black hearted money vaccums and maybe salvage an almost 30 year old franchise.

Please don’t offer advice in the future

Yeah I’ve played it both touchscreen and my with a controller and both feel good I really hope I can roll at least through the story without feeling like I’m struggling for gear just to finish that part.

Anyone who is against pay2win should not download this game.

I love Diablo and would love to play this game, but I refuse to add +1 to their player metrics. They need quantitative reassurance that players won’t accept this garbage.

Do you guys not have 50k dollars?

If I’m going to drop 50k on something, I’ll drop it as a down payment for a 2022 shelby GT 500. Base package starts at about 78k. With all the bells and whistles i want on it, puts it about 115k.

I bet you that you wont need BiS to beat the game like I did on P2W Diablo2R.

The crazy thing is that there are people who will spend that much on it, probably without much thought.

That might sound crazy but the amount of cash that people spend on gacha games and other types of F2P/P2W games is absolutely eye-watering. “Whales” especially spend numbers in the tens of thousands on these things, sometimes taking out loans to do so. Total insanity.

As someone with an expensive hobby or two (albeit, not that expensive) and a decent amount of disposable income it seems like utter madness. I can’t imagine ever dropping that kind of dough on a game.

Seems like a lot of money just to slide in to the curb and pedestrians.

You will if you want to PvP competitively.

Anyone that has ever paid extra for a collectors edition or deluxe version of a game better not be whining about having to pay for in app purchases in this game.

can you say hypocrite?

I figure for some people it’s no different than getting into MtG or Warhammer, or even D&D with the prices on their books!
I was just in a warhammer/hobby shop the other day. I could have easily dropped 1000’s if I was still as into some of that stuff as I used to be. Just picking up a few sets of loose dice and fancy case for the wife and it was $40+

Better idea. If you want to play this game and enjoy it support it by paying some money into it. If you don’t like it go back and play your 12 year old Diablo 3. You’re acting like you had to pay full price for this and then some. You’re the typical entitled brat who thinks you should be entertained for free

Fast and the furious taught me just to believe in family and I’ll make it through anything. :upside_down_face:

You could just play the story mode and ignore the store

I’ll download it twice, just for you.

There is a HUGE difference between buying a collectors edition vs needing to spend 50k+ USD to get full resonant and awakened gear in a mobile game.

LOL. PvP is a game of whos on top of the foodchain. More power to those who would play it on a P2W game.

There’s worlds of difference between a one-time purchase that’s somewhere between $10 and $40 more expensive on average and pouring hundreds, thousands, or even tens of thousands into an F2P game.

At least with MtG, Warhammer, etc there’s physical, un-DRM’d items you get keep for your purchase. Your cards and figures can’t ever be taken away plus you can always resell them if you fall out of love with the hobby.

And with the minifigs like Warhammer there’s some amazingly skilled artistry involved with painting and now modeling and 3D printing figures that’s a respectable hobby in itself.

Compare those to pixel-weapons that are constantly made obsolete, can never be resold for RL cash, and vaporize when the game shuts down and… yeah.
