EDIT…UPDATED THE MAPS

The easiest way to fly longer distances is to

  • spacebar / Skyward Ascent off the ground.
  • nose straight up and fire off more vigor charges to climb VERY fast.
  • nose down just so you are slightly gliding back down (You’ll see the vapor trails) and you’ll keep lift, speed and regain your vigor in air to keep using during the flight if you need.
  • pretty much always nose straight up when using Skyward Ascent/spacebar to get the maximum climb height per vigor used

Heres four images showing you were the dragon riding glyphs are located.
I believe these are accurate still, but some may have been changed or added since Beta.

get those to complete your DRing talent tree. Simply fly THRU them to get the glyph.
As you do DRing gets easier to stay in air longer.

you dont have to be any particular level to get the glyphs.
IF you can fly, you can get them.

You can literally do this once you have your mount if you choose.
Or you can gather them as you get into the zone doing the questline.

EDIT… evidently those marked in the images are nearly all there. but there must be a few that arent listed

Dragon riding A solution that’s looking for a problem… but it is what it is…
Sometimes I think. Blizzard Needs to grab their crotch and say look no more flying…instead of having a war against the players with flying…

agreed.
But if it means flight this early, Im all for it.
Id rather have this flight and then normal flight later than no flight for 10 months or more

I’d hate to have only 310% flying in these zones. They’re way too big.

I think someone said they made the zones so big to accomodate DRing.
Id rather have HUGE zones than these packed in sardine cans…even if there isnt much going on in a lot of the area. Just feels more realistic.
