DF abandons WoW’s solo playerbase... but why?

Whether you’re nice in real life with people or not is besides the point. A lot of people that bully others online are just angels to people around them in real life because they’re cowards.

That point aside, you think that somebody who wouldn’t want to play with that type of person must just be bad at the game. That’s all you needed to illustrate the mentality you’re coming from. And I wouldn’t want to be around that. I don’t want to be around that. And many many other players don’t want to be around that either.

If you’re all about it, then keep playing the way you play. No one’s going to stop you. But standing against a solo route makes no sense because it doesn’t affect you.

Wrong as usual.

People want uncapped valor to level their gear so they can push higher keys.

Nah, some people want gear to push. Not everyone plays for gear. And I don’t like valor being unlocked at the start of the season, now it kinda makes sense cause it enables main swapping.

How does it impact you if your gear is still better theirs just does well in non instanced content? They have PvE, PvP, and WPvP sets already, I don’t feel I need to grind WPvP sets to play instanced pvp.

And there we go. Just as I illustrated earlier. You think anybody that wouldn’t want to play with you and somebody that’s speaks like this to others is bad.

But we all know the real reason you don’t want a solo route to real gear. You want to gatekeep the exclusivity you see yourself having. That’s all it is. Everything else you say is just to get around this fact and pretend it’s about something more legitimate. But that’s all it is.

No, some people do. The vast majority just want to cap out their gear. It isn’t like this is something new. The same thing happens every season. They cap their gear and then they take a break until the next season.

Meanwhile those that are a bit more organized sell runs to people who can’t get decent gear and who are willing to pay for it via carries.

I’m just saying Blizzard should delete all content that gives gear above solo play. WOW will for sure be a success and totally not a ghost town.

Torgast was sort of like diablo from what I’ve played. I just haven’t done the first parts so I don’t like playing games without knowing the lore a bit.

I do have diablo 3 but I do love my wow characters and gameplay. Torgast brought another fun layer of solo gameplay I wished they elaborated on. It was a bunch of nice fun builds you can play without being pressured into trying meta builds.

For group content I been healing lfr and some low keys on all the healers. Just got my pally up.

Do I miss my night fae/kyrian paladin doing torgast ? Yea it was sort of fun. Especially all the covenant power abilities. DF endgame best thing as a soloer is probably gold making which isn’t so fun tbh since the auction house hard crashed all the mats.

Diablo 4 is also coming out I believe. I am waiting for overwatch pve, probably gonna spend my wow gold on that. Last thing I spend gold on was for cupid Hanzo. But I think it’s funny the best part of wow as a solo player is to buy stuff from other games.

Elemental invasions fell way flat for me. The rares don’t pop out very frequently, mobs can get really hard and stun lock you in the earth, its basically boring group content that is outdoors. The best thing is the vendor for decent starting gear to get into lfr and being able to get mog from the normal raid. But besides the gameplay itself isn’t really exciting.

Right now you have:

  • Rares and “Super Rares”.
  • Weekly events (Trials, Hunts, Siege, Storm, etc).
  • A special zone (Obsidian) with plenty of mini-events and good rewards.
  • Bi-weekly quests, some of which can give decent gear and some Primal Chaos.
  • A revamped professions that can actually give you BiS gear. This includes at least 5 Sparks of Ingenuity.
  • Treasures farming.
  • The Renown system, which can give you 4 (I think) Primal Infusion, to convert your crafted gear to iLvl higher than 400.
  • Extra reputation factions that can give you some rewards at around 390 ilvl.
  • The catalyst to get your tier set bonus.

That’s just from the top of my mind.

You can add Mythic Zero dungeons to that, which by now is extremely trivial content, and even lower level M+, but probably some would say that’s not “casual” enough.

With all that, you can easily get at some pretty decent ilvl, comparable to Heroic Raiding, actually.

That’s more than enough for solo play’s level of challenge.

Nope. Im the same way irl as I am on the forums. If you say something ignorant I’ll be blunt and tell you. I’m not going to sugar coat things because feelings.

If you’re asking for bis gear from trivial content you’re bad at the game.

You’re the one asking for special treatment because YOU choose not to play the game. Stop being an entitled child.

It makes perfect sense. This game isn’t designed around solo play and solo play already awards good gear. Once 10.1 hits and you can get normal raid gear for doing absolutely nothing. You want better then that then do group content.

Torghast got the moniker choreghast for a reason. S3 was when you can skip it.

this expansion has made it clear, if you are a solo player and aren’t farming mats or crafting gear for raiders they don’t care about you.

Nice way to assume things about people in a game mode you have no clue about.

And if they added AI parties, boom! Then it would be designed for solo play. Anything else? Because if you’re not interested in playing in such a way, then it has no effect on you whatsoever.

…Other than making your gear not as exclusive. Which we both know is the real reason why you stand against this…

Anyone demanding the game cater to them and change its design is flat out entitled.

There’s no gatekeeping in this game. Solo players already have a route to gear. If you want better gear stop gatekeeping yourself.

If you want ai parties go play final fantasy

That’s a waste of dev time for the biggest minority in the game.

And yes wasting dev time on useless things does affect my gameplay.

It was called choreghast because they put legendary mats in there and basically forced everyone to do it. Wheras if they just put some lfr to scaling heroic ilvl solo players who like doing content would probably have enjoyed it better.

Of course when you feel pressured into doing game modes you don’t want to do you may not enjoy the game. That is what forcing players that prefer solo gameplay feel like all the time.

group content gives gear faster, but solo players don’t need to do group content.

Oooh another strawmanner. Hilarious. No one’s saying you can’t get gear solo. What’s being asked for is a route to the best gear in the game. And I feel this can be best achieved by AI parties. This can also be done in a fashion that would make it even more difficult than current methods in mythic+.

If you’re not interested in it, all you have to do is not play it. You can just keep doing what you’re doing.

Since this is true, yet you are still against it, we know why you are against it. You are afraid of losing your perceived exclusivity. It’s sad really. And that’s all it is. Everything else you say is just to try to hide this fact. To pretend there’s some actual legitimate reason behind your motivations.

But there’s not. Nothing holds up to scrutiny. All you have left is strawmanning. It’s the same thing every time. Next.

It’s so easy to gear in this game if people actually put effort into the content.

This toon is 2 and a half weeks old.
