Yet another fallacy. Casuals as you call them don’t do content that gets them vault rewards. The vault was first a chest that M+ players would get back in legion. The raiders then said, hey, we want cool stuff too, so it was changed to the vault to make it easier, blizzard probably didn’t want to have chests in 3 different areas (M+, PVP, Raid)
I personally do not like the vault. It is just an RNG machine that entices people to keep playing the slot machine. I’d much rather get currency out of the raid that allows me to go purchase the gear I actually need. Similar to what other mmorpgs do (well and what WoW did in the past).
But then again, this has nothing to do with the casuals as you call them. They just want to be able to feel like they too are progressing and gaining power and because in this particular game, all the power is tied to gear, they too should have access to whatever gear they need to feel like they are progressing. No matter how angry that makes the M+ crowd.

It certainly wasn’t skill, I just tried enough times to nail the timing on the worms. Which was cheese to begin with.

It was all 350-360 people. So naw, I did most dps.

In 9.0, it wasn’t easy to burst the demon within before getting stun-locked to death.

Your definition of casual is a solo player, this is incorrect.
Every mmo is a slot machine, thats what makes them an MMORPG.
You know what happened in SL when they introduced a currency system? it took 3 weeks to get the normal version, and then another 3 weeks to upgrade that piece to heroic.
Not many people like it at all.

What tipped it over to be easy was the 9.1.5 change where the small parasites no longer stun you.
There were points where I was getting declined for BoD ya know. My ilvl wasnt high enough to warrant being invited.
