DF abandons WoW’s solo playerbase... but why?

I’d rather be able to do a variety of content, like rares, chests, quests, weeky boxes to get the currencies.

Why did they not make the elemental storms a invasion with 4-5 quests? Like Shadowlands. Like I said, not solo friendly.

All of this in DF exists.

I got a 385 weapon off a rare earlier. I got a 392 weapon in my Rep box for the weekly.

Gear is out there, from about everything and anything.

But it can’t be converted at the catalyst. See? It’s all coming around.

The gear from Storm’s Fury can. Do that daily. Buy boxes, get the gear in no time.

But it still isn’t as solo friendly as 9.2’s systems. And takes longer, and requires a mind numbing grind.

You’re right, it’s not as solo friendly, it’s solo friendlier. You get massively more ilvl than 9.2 gave you.

I don’t care for ilvl, I want tier bonus.

I don’t even think you recall Sandworm relics right. You didn’t get them from quests and the weekly. You got them from the World boss, they weren’t BoA in SL S3, only BoP, and you got them from an endless mob grind in the desert after your little burst of some from the world boss.

If anything, Sigils and Overflow is much easier to get.

Overflow requires killing 5,000 mobs, with each 5 group giving 1-2 if you’re lucky. Sometimes you kill the maidens if the storm is in the tyrhold and they don’t drop any.

Then get the primal storms epics.

The game offers you various paths to get what you want, either pick one and do it, or stop complaining about not having the rewards you seek.

Various? hah. it’s one path and a slog of a grind. I know some people love punishing themselves. Even I punished myself to get a set. However, it’s wrong. Broken and falling apart.

Dear Raiimir,
Below 400 is trash these days and no one wants to be there. Again, for some reason people seem to think that those who don’t run M+ only go out and kill a couple of mobs. This is simply a fallacy.

It still amazes me that people care so much if a player who doesn’t do M+ gets decent gear. I guess maybe it is a power trip thing.

No it doesn’t. Mobs drop 5-10 each. You also get hundreds from doing Storm’s Fury.

The problem is you want big bad Raider gear from doing trivial content.

392s are plenty good to kill things solo.

You’re not Kirito, this isn’t Sword Art Online.

It truly is a power trip. How else can they get off on it? They have no power irl doing a 9-5 they need to feel powerful

How do you know this, exactly? Please use specifics, and not the generalizations, and platitudes that you’ve previously used.

I guess so. I’ve never really understood it, especially it isn’t like they’d ever do content with these other people. But I guess it also falls under the “you don’t work hard and we do” fallacy they seem to have.

OK, where is my nearly full set of Normal raid iLvl gear? And you said “massively” more, so I would expect 398-ish.

I’m still getting 376/379/382 from Obsidian Citadel weekly quests, elite world quests, and super rares. The 392 rewards do seem to happen but more as a Titanforge and you already need to be high iLvl.

Some structure would definitely be better than the mindless Storms grind. There are already currencies and vendors, but no true structure.

Being fortunate enough to run high end content, and clicking a few buttons. And they all think they’re the authority on who should get what. When we all pay the same subscription fee.

No wonder they can’t retain new players. There’s these things gatekeeping.

Would the game be improved by deleting content that drops higher gear than you can obtain? If so, how?

Just delete all the non-solo content, and would you like wow more? Not adding anything, only deletion.

Sparks of Ingenuity

Why would you expect 398ish.

You didn’t get 259s in 9.2.

I feel you guys don’t even know what you were actually getting in SL at this point, just whining to whine.
