Yeah, we need sob stories about why x didn’t drop for y player before z dropped.
No we don’t. As I said, I don’t care a-z dropped for xyz players. I care only when they dropped for me. I go to a restaurant I don’t care what ppl are having on the table next to me. I care about how is my food
I feel this dudes pain, I just react to it differently. The last 4 runs, 2 runs on 2 characters all I have got was an off hand for my rogue. I get sad and demoralized, then pick myself up and play the game.
Why would you ever join a group with another feral if you both need the mace?
Man, i been farming for mog and a mount for years, mainly the mount
And logged into my tune still in the instance, so i finished it and got my mount and my boots.
This is part of the game,
No im not playing what your playing but still.
You want it keep doing it,
God…
HA, HAHAHAHA. Nothing anyone will tell you will make you feel better. And yes, this is classic. This is how the system used to work. If you dont like it, well thats too bad. Everyone gets screwed on loot sometimes. I have been running BFD on my druid since the beggining and it hasnt seen the feral mace drop yet. In fact, I got almost bis for heals/balance BEFORE I even got a feral 2set. (Obviously I swapped). The drop rate isnt the issue, you just have some bad luck. Join a guild and run a consistent group. So you know that if youre the only leather wearer left, youre going to get it.
Sounds like retail is the perfect game for you lol
This sounds very selfish, why don’t you just make your own raid and reserve all of the leather gear while you’re at it
My hunter is on a 9 run drought (27 days), still need chest, shoulder, and xbow. I’ve also never seen the xbow in all of my runs on any character. Seen the staff and sword many times. I hope p2 has more pvp because I don’t find the raid fun, too repetitive and no drops, it’s a drag for sure. Idk if it’s the way the loot table works out for hunter statistically or I’m just one of the unlucky ones, cause I seem to get drops no problem on other classes. Think I’m going to main priest p2, but hope they have true solo que matchmaking for BGs, better wpvp event, more gear obtained through pvp, and damage/healing done on scorecards… Wil prob end up quitting early p2 if they don’t improve anything.
Im wondering if after p2 launch, bfd will remove the lockout.
Aggrend was hinting at some special reason they’re called ‘level up raids’ when someone asked if they’ll give xp.
Yeah idk rng sucks, all my friends with fresh hunter alts, some on rogues, have xbow. Have done every reset and havent seen it. Idk what they can do about it next phase besides add a 50%-100% extra piece of loot per boss or up the drop rate on weps. The only way to improve your chances, would be multiple chars of the same class. I doubt they’ll tweak anything.
Loot is RNG. You’re not supposed to expect to get it all. Good luck cause this is how loot is supposed to work and it’s not changing.
Cringe topic is cringe.
Bro players who can’t handle not seeing a drop every week should quit. Flat out. That’s okay.
Not seeing a drop every single week is one thing, but not seeing certain items that you want / need after doing every single lockout since SoD launched due to the ridiculously big loot table is a bit of an annoyance. I haven’t seen the mail set piece helmet a single time, and at this point I don’t even care if I get it or not - just seeing it drop would make me happy at this point.
BFD loot tables are obnoxiously bloated. Paring down the number of potential drops from bosses in Gnomeregan is one of the big things in my P2 wishlist.
more like every month… at least for my hunter
The drop rate and amount of useless items is way too high compared to the actual good drops. This is especially apparent when playing a healer/caster class since there are usually at least 4 of them and they all want the same items.
This
People keep saying “rng is rng” “that’s how it’s always been” are completely ignoring the horribly designed loot tables.
There is simply too much loot on BFD loot tables, Kelris in particular. The drop rates of the bad items are way too high for a seasonal mode with short phases.
One example off Kelris is that he drops a pretty weak caster dagger, while also dropping the epic staff. Right after him, you have Akumai dropping a much more powerful caster dagger. Before Kelris, Lorgus drops a mid fire dagger. Blsckfathon ritual dagger just shouldn’t exist. It also has an insanely high drop rate, we’ve seen it easily over 7 times and our warriors have them for memes.
Given the short season server and the low drop rates, I’d like to see them add some rng protection.
Something like if you ran bfd and got no loot drops you get one item of a loot currency. 5 or more items of loot currency would allow you to purchase a class set piece, 10 or more items to purchase a weapon (not the epic staff which I think by design is meant to be very rare… maybe in gnomer if there is a very rare over-powered weapon drop it could be supplemented by a less powerful more commonly dropped weapon of the same type). That would encourage people to keep running BFD.
For the epic staff, a lot of extra frustration is there because of multiple reasons, rng aside:
-
The staff is extremely powerful for a level 25 item. The epic xbow and 2h will be replaced during leveling by multiple options. The staff is technically pre-bis until 60.
-
There is no other item that could be a close alternative to the stuff that drops. Like the fathomblade compared to the epic 2h. There are two other staffs that drop, but not even close to giving what the epic staff provides. The first staff is +24 healing only, with some spirit and stam. The second staff was created specifically for druids, giving +26 healing only and +17 nature damage and stam. None give any int or dam.
Compare this to the epic staff which gives +26 spell power AND healing, and a whopping +15 intellect and +14 spirit.
Add in the fact that Kelris has a really really large loot table and the fact that the staff has a significantly lower drop rate than the other epics for some reason, and here we are.
the season is a couple months…phase*
