Devour ruining what could be a good pvp season

throughout the seasons there have been few specs that have felt as overpowered as devour currently does….however none of those specs were ever as easy to play as a certain devour build is currently…..the spec is so poorly designed that you will end up doing the same if not more damage not specing into collapsing star which so many of your talents revolve around….what seems like a core aspect to the spec you completely ignore….you are so tanky that you also can completely ignore versatility as a stat….and you can literally 2 tap someone by just pressing reap and an instant consume right afterward….thats quite literally your whole rotation is 2 buttons….and you press your “eye beam” at full resource….and rinse and repeat…..

there are players who have never sniffed top of the ladder playing their main spec of 20 seasons…..and are rerolling devour and playing at the top of the ladder while being close to clueless on how to actually play there….

they are quite literally playing a different game….there has never been a spec with such low skill ceiling that has been this strong…it doesn’t feel like im playing the same game as them…its ruining the season

at least the other build has some skill expression with pressing the hunt and backflipping 1000 times and avoiding cc the entire game….anything is better than this 2 button pressing version of devour….they are ruining every lobby

Rogues and mages are always ruining the game. Anything else just happens to be whatever is overtuned at the time

I just had a shuffle with a mythic geared Dev DH running what I assume was very little versatility and had no trinket. Actually I just looked him up and he literally has 1% versatility. He was wearing full PvE gear in the lobby when I inspected him. His name was Reichr on Area52. Doesn’t have much PvP history but the fact that he was able to live (he was never killed the entire game) and top the damage meter is plain busted. This spec is an abomination.
