I promise you all that Blizzard allmost certainly will shut down any attempts to form a devilsaur mafia. You are not allowed to collude with the opposite faction, especially to abuse the economy.

The devilsaur mafia was a thing in vanilla its not just a pserver thing…
there is always plenty of evidence. It becomes very obvious of what is happening when you get one faction killing anyone other than specific guilds of the other faction who try to kill a devilsaur or skin one, or a small number of guilds controlling the vast majority of the devilsaur leather on a server. You arent as clever as you think you are.
Clever? You seem to be implying that im planning on joining in. I dont do skinning. I dont do leatherworking. Hunter picks flowers and makes drugs, warrior mines and does blacksmithing. Mage does tailoring. I dont do the mafia thing. Hell, my anxiety is bad enough im not sure im even physically capable of talking to the people to get involved.
What would you do if the mafia isnt using guilded toons to farm/sell their goods? Again, you need evidence. All you have is suspicion. Not good enough to ban accounts. Not to mention that, again, servers sleep, when the daywalkers go to bed or work those spawns get opened up.
it is still trackable if you notice that specific people are not being attacked and everyone else is.
Also, if you play hunter and you want to min max, you pick up skinning. Flower picking and potions is better for gold though.

i dont expect alchemy to be super strong right out of the gate. MC is pretty easy, so, most folks wont need to bring heavy consumables to MC unless they are really struggling. in BWL onward though things should pick up a lot, resist pots might fly off the shelves if enough people have deep pockets. Buying consumables rather than farming them is almost unreasonably expensive.
Arcanite transmutes will always sell. Especially when BWL comes out and people can start making thunderfury.

The difference is that currently an unlimited amount of people can skin the same mob if they do it at the same time…thanks to spell batching.
You may find that devilsaur leather has very little of the value it had in vanilla unless this is addressed.
