I don’t think there is any complaining that Naxx 10/25 are too easy. The first tier of raiding is 19 bosses. I really don’t want to even more time slogging through Naxxramas. I want to spend less time in there on my main, and more time raiding it on numerous alts. Its fine if its easy. Blizzard do yourself a favor and don’t shoot yourself in the foot on this one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DCkJ5lGPqFs
its a 30min raid… 5 bosses, no trash. you get 10 badges for doing the raid. each pc of gear costs 45badges for the lowest item. GG you played yourself.
furthermore, getting gear should be rewarding. Its a lot of fun going into Karazhan as a t6 geared team and absolutely dunking on the content that you used to struggle with, same with the open world mobs you run into. Retail has scaled mobs based on your gear and it feels terrible getting skull-fricked by the same mobs pereptually. Just make the rewards better they don’t need to be more difficult. Wotlk is one of the most alt friendly expansions ever made don’t make it less so.
Kinda like killing Kael in TK and then killing him again over in MGT? Or having Outland and Draenor available at the same time? Or Onyxia back in action after having killed her in Vanilla? Or that time when nearly every single NPC that we’ve ever killed repeatedly show up in one form or the other?
Having 2 versions of the same content available at the same time isn’t anything new.
I have brought about beta.
You’re welcome.
The two are not the same.
60 Naxx is replaced by 80 Naxx, 60 Onyxia is Replaced by 80 Onyxia. They aren’t new raids they are exactly the same just different gear sets and health/damage scales.
That’s a lot of text for nothing. You guys are doing all you can not to add such a simple solution you have in your main game and people are begging here which is LFG which was also in this same expansion. Are you guys really this dense? Doing more work to add some half back LFG thing no one gives a flip about.
NO ONE WANTS THAT MMMKAY.
It’s actually hilarious but Blizz lies so much I’m not surprised.
Thanks Blizzard devs for having your heads up your wazoo. We do not want the changes… Leave it like it was, the whole reason we play this is for what it was. We dont need u to change it… We appreciate the thought but as its said before if your changing it, its not classic its reforged, I’m looking forward to a classic experience… Not a reforged one… You sold us on classic not reforged… Lets get it together…
Keeping dungeons relevant is what RDF did. This bastardization of changes is just pushing people further away from actually doing content outside of raids.
Please add the Blizzcon 2008 Bear Mount to Classic Wrath for those who attended :]
RDF didnt increase rewards within those dungeons, these changes do along with making the dungeon harder.
I doubt blizzard is going to actually increase dungeon rewards (better drops, etc), just doesn’t fit their dev time/money. They’ll make crap adjustments to how badges are given out (which RDF did anyway). As for making it harder, we’ll get higher hp pools and harder hitting mobs, no more, no less, if that even happens.
I mean making dungeons stay relevant was in the article.
They were talking about ways of doing it and they pointed out increasing the difficulty as phases unlocks was 1 of them.
It seems more like a mythic+ system.
Which i love mythic+.
badges are static for heroics anyway, they needed to fix the badge system.
Lol? Him? Read?
Hearty feeling of disappointment, not that I’m not getting RDF I’m over that if still miffed, but because the replacement tool is just lack luster in it’s preview. It’s really hard for me to take their explanation of the spirit of classic and their view of #somechanges when what we are by all appearances getting is just a feature from retail ported over. which really seems antithetical to keeping the spirit of classic, i’d rather have just kept LFG channel at that point instead of an additional step to even using the LFG channel. They say it wont have the spam and advertisements on it but even after the changes made to the retail version this still persists. The comments about their design pillars would’ve been nicer at the outset of this classic experiment and not right before the expac that had a major chunk of the games popularity and success. Currently while the pillars are a neat concept I won’t be giving any praise until they’re consistently kept to and referred to in ongoing changes and updates. they are to me too little too late and ring a fair bit hollow. Im open to revising my view point on this as I want Classic LK to succeed and be popular again.
As for being denied groups because of class/spec im just glad paladins are good in all three roles now, not excited to be potentially gatekept out of dungeons the first few weeks after hitting 80 because of min/max gogogo try hards.
I never bought a boost but I did use my 70’s to run my lower level alts through dungeons, seem the SoM changes being pushed into classic LK bums me out in that regard. Having that option available meant i could see the content regardless of group availability on my server in my level bracket. Never bought gold and would farm for it on my pally as well as for crafting materials from dungeons for Tailoring and Blacksmithing.
My main fear is that this increase in potential dungeon difficulty will just become the horrible scaling from SL in LK. At that point I would probably quit. I like having my character feel strong as I gear up. I figure that’s due to distrust of the dev team and my own paranoia though. I’m happy with dungeons being consistently relevant outside of being vending machines for badges but I’d rather heroics be interim between normal dungeons and raids.
I will still play but with a slightly larger bit of anxiety that any potential nostalgia I was hoping for will be further removed from my favorite expansion of this game. “it was never going to be a carbon copy” I am aware, I still got the nostalgia I was after from TBC and in part from Classic Era, I’d like to get the same amount from LK if possible.
Can you guys just release wotlk how it was and stop trying to change it for the better.
At this point it’s looking like I should just play Dragonflight over Wrath of the Retail King.
When I read the blue post all I read was blah blah blah blah.ekk eck ok blah blah blah…I’m going to o ook you in the dooker…blah blah blah…lol…
But yeah, they can say that, but it doesn’t make it true. What is interesting, is that RDF made dungeons relevant. I never did any heroics in original wotlk because it was so time consuming setting one up. Once RDF launched, I was using RDF to do my daily heroic on 3 different toons every day.
As for mythic+, never played retail, and it doesn’t sound fun either. I highly doubt blizzard is going to put any actual dev time on making content.
RDF made dungeons relevant for leveling but not for end game.
They were the same drops from phase 1 into phase 5, they never changed.
If you were even Ulduar geared 5 mans were now irrelvant.
RDF made dungeons relevant for literally everyone.
Thats not the point.
Even if you didn’t need gear from badges, they were still useful for orbs/other tradeables. They were never completely useless past a certain gear point.
