I’m waiting to see as well but my goodness folks. Taking the game from guitar hero combined with DDR to something mildly more manageable doesn’t look like the end of the world to me.

Most of the complaints seem to come from people that are taking 5 minutes to prepare for a delve pull so they can make sure they use absolutely every single button in their kit lol.

Considering how you’re commenting from a level 51, I’m going to take the accurate assumption that you have no idea how laughable of a comparison that is.

Essentially yes, every class should have an easier option. Personally I’ve been saying for a while now that Ret is peak DPS design and that they’d see a much better spread of classes if everything had a “ret-like” option.

It’s easy to do the basics and pump damage with which makes all of that extra utility actually accessible to you from fight to fight.

The change they’re referencing is a talent that makes it cast on a target instead of being a ground AoE, which is a nice option that several other ground effects already have. I would have made it a choice talent instead of another talent point, but I can’t see how anyone would complain about this as an option in general. It used to work that way in other incarnations anyway. You also used to be able to macro ground targets to cast over a target.

I don’t think every spec need trimming. Rogues and shamans are in desperate need of this. The amount of weak auras e macros I use for subtetly spec is absurd! Playing my enhancement alt seems like playing BM hunter after a m+ 12+.

Stealth

You need to address stealth in another way. I can’t use vanish cuz of chance of mob resetting (zekvir ?? I still hate you). Playing in m+ content is a horrible experience no tank wait between packs and you never stealth, vanish has utility of removing some roots or disengaging dangerous casts/fixates. Master assassin encourages stealth to min/max dps so you lose utility to stealth while chain pull happens.

Subtetly

  • remove the 20% bonus dmg from backstab when hitting from behind, so many tanks just let the boss/mobs city with half of their bodies inside dangerous pools and many bosses you can’t even stay behind
  • shadowstep should not lead me to damage, ie. pillars at forge raid boss iirc damage and push me away, fractillus I take dmg cuz I land INSIDE boss
  • you can munch all 3 charges of symbols of death cuz is not on gcd. Need a macro with cast sequence and /cqs to not cast more than one charge by fast pressing.
  • symbols of death and shadow dance always used together, macro’d for intraburst and individual press for 90s burst
  • rupture don’t fit the subtetly theme, remove
  • many ppl hate shuriken tornado, remove
  • cold blood is always used in macros for second sectec at 90s burst, remove
  • flagellation has high cognitive load: how many charges of symbols and dance? I’ll get a new charge in 30s and 10s of dance and symbols? shadow blades is up? can I stay inside boss foot for the next 15+ seconds to use all my cds?
  • using aoe skills (ss+bp) should not punish us from not gaining charges to use coup

  • many buttons with little impact at the rotation

I mean the changes suck lol. Holy Priest no longer has SW:P so mass pulls will be incredibly lame. So outside of Chastise, less DPS spell to cast on the go

It’ll be the self proclaimed experts who thrash about. The LFR heroes or 3k post turbo boost m+ experts.

I’m happy for these changes and can’t wait to play test them. Anything that makes pugging better is a big W for me.

Pruning of WoD/Legion failed even for casual players because the fewer buttons you have to manage means there is less margin of error. It is counter intuitive to think about but this is the fundamental key BlizZard devs keep missing.

The gap between top and lower players will increase as a result of this pruning spree.

I’ve noticed that some classes/specs are more fun to play with the one-button tool they recently introduced. I was wondering what the devs would do with class complexity in response to that feedback.

Probably just story driven players, WoW has probably the widest breadth of types of players in any video game.

Hunters have specs for all levels of complexity like BM—MM—and then SV

The problem is that not all classes can have specs fall into that paradigm because of the differences.

As soon as they said addons were going to be nerfed, we all knew the game would have to be easier.

Idk how this will look in M+ but some of those mythic bosses were getting stupid. I know a lot will disagree and that’s fair.

Why are they really doing this though? Do they actually want more people in mythic
? Why now?

Was heroic giving people that much trouble? What’s the point of all this?
