Dev Tipping Program

Add olives and jalapenos to developer Bob’s Pizza also.

You do realize that btc is anonymous right? That is why I explicitly said that the btc address, not the name of the dev would be associated with the work ticket. This makes sure that nasty people can’t send them anchovy pizza like you suggest. The worst that people could do is send nastygrams in their tips, and you don’t have to look at notes in transactions in btc. Most people never do. Its only if you want to dig down into the individual transactions that you would ever see it.

Is dev tipping like cow tipping?

Okay, so if all you want is to give them more money, what’s stopping you from mailing money to their physical address that’s listed on the corporate website?

You know they don’t even need to display anything at all if something like that would be to exist (Which it won’t, because it’s a bad idea) right?

Or buying 13 tokens. Or store pets / mounts.

Oh what a MARVELOUS idea! Just quit; walk out and leave and everything will get ALL better.
Because EVERY SINGLE SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS is run exactly that same way!
Because they’re all magical mindreaders who will know instantly why the custom is walking out the door.
(do I really need a sarc tag here?)

Obviously yoy were not around for any of the previous meltdowns.
Briefly, successful businesses LISTEN to their customer base. That is why there are complaint/ customer service departments, and customer satisfaction surveys.
And forums.
Truly successful companies like to know about problems, potential or otherwise, BEFORE the paying custom( that’s us) walks out the door.
Happy customers tell their friends: unhappy FORMER customers tell EVERYONE.

I have a much better idea than this absolute trash idea the OP presents, and it goes something like this:

Activision-Blizzard and CEO Bobby Kotick hoard obscene amounts of wealth, pay no taxes, and are subsidized by taxpayers, even those who don’t play their games. Therefore, they have more than enough money to compensate their devs what they’re worth.

Come to think of it, if OP’s main goal is to “Tip the company making the game so they can do a better job”, why doesn’t he just… invest… in ACTIBLIZ? You know, stock market?

Wait what?
Pay the people who actually do the work a real wage appropriate with their skills?
You are mad, sir!
MAD, I SAY!

This sounds like a sincere proposition, but I feel that the OP doesn’t fully understand the inner workings of a large corporation like Acti-Blizzard.

I could put some cash in an envelope and mail it off to corporate HQ. However, I think it would just get collected by whoever opens their mail instead of being given to the dev I wanted it to be given too. Also, without a portal I can’t do paypal or credit card.
