Dev crunch is not okay

No. You just posted strong opinions and as a natural consequence, received some strong opinions in return.

Uh
literally you, when you replied to my comment

I did not.

I got the notification for it, so you did :woman_shrugging:t2: That post got reported too though. Someone doesn’t like your posts.

Are you trying to get banned?

All signs point to yes

Disagree, You probably never worked a hard job in ur life
At least they get to sit in a climate controlled environment. This is an office job, in the tech industry, get real kid. They have it nicer than any other industry imo.

They’re still working very long hours during crunch time, and sitting for long periods (assuming they don’t have standing desks) is hard on the body. The hours they work is very hard on their mental fatigue, too.

Working a very long time and working hard during that time is hard on you no matter what you do.

Ah, Crunch time. The failure of management

It’s more or less because of a strict deadline, but I agree. Proper management can help - but I also remember nearly finishing things and then management having the, “bright idea” to change it last minute.

Currently, my job - which is at a tire center - is getting brutalized with way too much work, as we’ve increased the amount of cars we’re supposed to install tires on but reduced the time per appointment.

So yeah. Management is terrible.

And
you scored 0% on the critical thinking skills test didn’t you?
Are you able to operate a push/pull door without assistance?

Maybe i’m reading this wrong, i mean
this was a confusing comment to read here, so correct me if i’m wrong, but are you asking me that i think crunch only happens in video games? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Obviously crunch exists in other jobs too and not just video games here. Nobody is denying that. I’m just confused on why you kept on bringing up the delivery service when it’s job to deliver products is different from video games, which the job here is to make the product.

I don’t know much about the delivery system other then the jobs that being package the product in a box or some kind, and then ship it to whomever bought it. As well maintaining the product and the warehouse the said product situated in.

To sum it up, i don’t think a delivery system crunch is the same as video game crunch. But you are free to explain why you think they are the same here.

Haven’t they been working from home for months? I’m sure their families can live with a late night or two from big updates.

lol you don’t it. I knew what I signed up for when I took my job. The devs knew what they signed up for when they took their jobs. you get what you sign up for its how the world actually works.

As a fellow forsaken I thought you’d know better.

The crunchy people taste best.

I legitimately feel bad for the “little guys” busting their butts right now.

The state of SL is not their fault.

I don’t. They chose that job. Most people in here have even worse jobs. I’m grateful I don’t have to work like either group of plebs.

Yeah, most soft-handed office workers just don’t understand how to get a job done. Too busy figuring out where to go for happy hour at exactly 5pm every day so they can get home and watch the bachelor.
