Blizzard,
Today marks the unhappy anniversary of exactly 1 year since we had communication on the warlock forum, and given the current state of warlock it shows. I would love to have some communication as to why a nerf to Demo was necessary. We were middle of the pack at best, but maybe due to the utility that warlocks bring you felt that was too high? We cant know the answer to it without direct communication from you. Most of the players are going to draw their own conclusions and they wont be casting you in a favorable light. This is why we need that communication. The information provided is not nearly enough. You want to target Multi-target, but why? In M+ (the heaviest multi-target), we dont even break the top 10 specs on any key difficulty. It really is unacceptable for such a large company to have such poor communication on one of the 13 classes.
We would like to take the time to respond in detail, however our time is currently dedicated to druids, priests, pallies and melee classes generally. We need to ensure they are having maximum fun and enjoyment so do not have enough resources to put into warlocks at the moment.
We did notice warlocks were suddenly overperforming in PVE (ie were above our favourite specs) and also we had a couple of reports that occasionally you were able to bring a melee class below 80% health in PVP before they killed you - hence we did take the time to make these changes - you’re welcome.
Although they claimed that our AoE profile was the target when our AoE isn’t even OP, the hit to my ST just feels terrible. Luckily I don’t raid and I already have all my dungeon portals so I can just unsub until the only spec I enjoy playing is fun again.
they are entirely tuning it around raid. Demo got PI in raids so they jumped to the top of the leaderboards and then came the nerf hammer. Nothing will ever be tuned properly if they do this. Pretty much pi is a mandatory for us now because we were the favored target after they nerfed Unh for the exact same thing.
what im trying to say is if any class is ever unfortunate enough to be the default for PI then may the gods have mercy on you because blizzard surely will not. (added with edit)
All I’m hearing is I’ll need to refuse PI’s, and dip from raid if the Priests don’t listen and stop PI’ing me. If getting PI leads to nerfs, I want nothing to do with it.
I’m noticing a marked decrease in my dps in M+ as well, not just aoe/overall but on bosses as well. Even more than I expected to see even though I knew these nerfs were chonky af. It feels bad.
