Opinions on best Build for Horrific Visions as destro? Essences, azerite traits, corruption, etc… Assuming food buff, flask, augment.
Corruption’s easy, just get Infinite Stars or Echoing Void and watch them do silly damage.
i ran Iris major w/ lucid, VOP, conflict minors (swap conflict for purification if you’d like). corruption is typically just what you have available just due to the rarity of the crap. you would have better luck with something like twilight devastation since infinite stars needs time to stack. destro in general felt kinda slow in visions, certainly doable, but slow.
I’m running VoP major, Breath/Crucible/Lucid minor, but I’m wanting to swap in Purification Protocol. Thoughts? Don’t have Iris or Conflict, the only other two I have at the moment are Unbound Force and Spark of Inspiration.
VOP is kinda doable, it worked okay on PTR but i prefer to be able to cycle infernal one pack then beam/PP the next just cuz of the power trough destro suffers from when it comes to AOE. as far as i have found, and this is just personal opinion, PP major would probably serve best in this scenario.

That kind of echoes my thoughts as well, thanks! I found current setup tends to be super RNG with some packs melting and some taking forever depending on Infernal procs. I only just managed Alleria + 2 corrupted zones on my last attempt and figured there had to be a better way lol.

thats about the best ive been able to do as well as of last week, might screw around with demo and see how that feels but id recommend a group if you have the ability to.
ok thanks for the replies. Seems the consensus is there’s no real best build yet. It’s really unfortunate that the only way to test a build is to use a horrific vessel.
I did a 2 corrupted area + alleria last night with a standard destro pvp build lol.
One thing that I didn’t think of at first but did after my third or fourth vision is that all buffs work. so get yoru food buff, flask, augment rune, and pots. Also DRUMS OF FURY baby.

Wow I’m just now looking at the new visions-specific cooking recipes and they are quite powerful in there. Those will probably make a huge difference as opposed to normal food.
I did a VoP major alleria +2 as destro and barely killed the last boss before sanity was out. I have the trait to revive though so I had a little extra. I think the key is to do the bigger pulls and big aoe dmg to cut down on time. The iris as a major looks like a better option to rotate aoe pulls. Thanks for the suggestion!
So just did my rank 8 upgrade run with PP major/VoP minor and 3 chests was a cake walk. Granted I also have 10 more ilvls than I did last week, which is not insignificant. Got 2 Heart of Darkness traits as well, which give an insane amount of raw secondary stats. Starting to wonder how quickly these visions are going to be trivialized by gear/cloak upgrades.

im willing to bet the combination of gear + EE from the tech tree will quickly make these easy unless you are looking to do big mask runs

I doubt it, although the 1 minute CD and extra aberration damage was nice. I imagine you could pull half of a zone and vaporize it with Iris, as well as the minor being pretty powerful. I just haven’t M-plused at all this expansion and PP was the next best AoE major I had access to.
Ha ok. I run PP minor all the time and it’s pretty damn good right now. It was crushing for me in m+ the other day
