Destroying WAs would require wow to gut most classes

the covenant energy mess was pretty ugly. but i guess that’s probably true enough for most people.

Sprocket monger was the main one. Mugzee and one armed had one or two mechanics but they weren’t bad.

Honestly sprocketmonger was a wa fight but I still think it was the best fight in the tier too which is funny to say.

It’s very boring for melee.

they pretty much all are from my perspective, very ranged focus tier when it comes to real mechanics which is unfortunate.

When…?

Was it in df when they promised no more wa bosses after sl…?

As a ranged I hated that fight.

I only want to rekill it because on the one pull we killed I died third and couldn’t be BRed till later in the fight.

I enjoyed Stix and Broodtwister as melee.

I think my most hated fights of the tier were

Sprocketmonger
Stix
One Armed

yea baiting drills prolly not very fun. melee perspective was funny, i got to just phone it in play no mover for the entirety of prog and chill since the only thing i have to do is live and hit a mine once in awhile.

Drills weren’t even that bad. It was the running far away for assigned bombs that I hated.

oh god yea doing that as a non mage :skull:

It was after every “this will kill wow/M+/raids/content of choice” moment we’ve ever had.

I enjoyed Bandit. But despised Rik Reverb.

Agreed on the first two.

Everybody hates Stix, on Mythic. Main problem is there was no way to practice, it needed an “Aces High!” equivalent like they had in Wrath to let you practice Malygos outside of raid.

Im not sure what you mean but given their track record I rather they focus and make an entire expansion without mythic needing wa or major nerfs before talking about removing addons

I hated bandit because I was on coin duty lol

I was rotated on our first kill. Of course on our rekikl I got trash balls on the last two phases, lost out on a cotw burst and parsed a grey on the first day of 11.1.5.

I need to rekill lol

How did gally prog go?

I played BM on that fight so it wasn’t as bad but I was prioritized after the mages for the far ones lol

I like stix. Just doing the balls. That’s fun. Wish I could do em all.

Regarding “major nerfs” the problem is that the initial releases are massively overtuned, and massively untested.

A lot of the “nerfs” aren’t even nerfs, they’re just making the fight work properly.

And the later “nerfs” aren’t really to make the fight easier, they’re to make the fight doable by more comps, and are all about how bad class imbalance is. Like Mugzee being “nerfed” so that you didn’t have to stack the entire raid with escape classes because now the gaols work like they do in the regular fight.

honestly, looking back i gotta say this tier ain’t so great if we are looking at real bosses. cauldron and vexie are cool fights but they are also almost insta farm bosses. rik is just annoying, stix is just annoying, sprocket is fun, oab is kinda neat with the coins hardest boss in the raid (for me) but nothing super cool to do at least for a melee player , mugzee fight doesn’t start until p2 tbh esp with damage stack buffs, gally is a paper tiger.

the design of the raid looks cool at least though, gallagio looks really nice.
