Deserter Debuff - wow war within

Well yeah, they were never going to get back to the original population we had back then. We all knew this was going to be the case.

For WoW in general, or for people who specifically or solely play Cata Classic?

We are talking about Cata classic.

Do you mean that more people played Cata the first time around than this time around?

I’m just curious what it is you’re suggesting we know about “subs” specifically with this:

:woman_shrugging:

Im not suggesting that more players played Cata the first time then they do now. That is a fact i was merely pointing out that WoW subs tank when the content becomes stagnent and P1 raids lasting 6 months is not helping the player base.

Oh I see what you’re saying. Yeah, I guess it’s one of those cases when stating something very obvious can be confusing!

MoP had the most cancelled subs in WoW they dropped from 10mil at the end of cata down to like 6mil thats a 40% drop in subs.

it’s so people don’t leave after their trinket didn’t drop, causing group to have to find replacements.

First it was Cata, now it’s MoP, decide which version of the game you hate pls.

Genuinely curious as to what your source is for this.

they are totally adding it when Dragon Soul comes out, they will claim they are “listening to the players” or something, but in reality its cause making it not get added is extra work since theyd have to move all the LFR gear around (and that’s not even taking into account every expansion from MoP onward has LFR for every raid baked into the code)

He does not have a source. He has been trolling this entire time and no one notices it. Weak bait, too.

iceyveins they have the numbers go look for the article they posted.

If you are leaving after a boss kill because you no longer need the other bosses that is the text book definition of a deserter

I disagree. The people that are all unsubbing are raid loggers who barely play the game anyway. There’s a lot more to do than just raiding. I myself have been farming achievements and tmogs from old raids/dungeons. There’s plenty to do.

If anything this slower release schedule has been a huge blessing for me. I didn’t play much of Wrath, so there’s a lot for me to do. Besides, why should we rush through expansions? Why not take our time and enjoy the older version for what they are? If we rush through the expansions, where does that leave us? In 3 years or so we would be in Legion, and then the game would have to deal with M+ all over again. I wanted to play Classic to get away from that.

This also gives me and my guild more time to do H bosses. We’re not hardcore, and it takes us a little bit longer to clear the content. The only ones who want to rush the content are the people clearing HFL on week one. If they want a challenge, or want content to last longer, they should go play retail and do M raids.

TL:DR Don’t rush the expansions. I want a few more years before we get to Legion.

Long raid phases is what kills WoW its already been proven!!!

Lol you really think blizz will release legion?

Yes, I’m pretty sure they will. There’s a lot of people who like it., I’m not one of them. Legion was what ruined WoW for me. But a lot of people I’ve talked to want it.

Really hope it doesn’t come, but I’d like the new Druid forms if it does.

Lol blizz is probably doing the era prog servers because they know classic is failing and that MOP is going to FLOP!!! Legion comes after WoD. Legion was when blizz tried to mix starcraft and warcraft together remember?

So, first of all, no one has the numbers. Blizzard won’t share them.

Secondly, that article seems to be based on a YouTuber’s estimation.

Thirdly, even in that article, it shows a graph with a loss of just over 2.5 million throughout MoP before going back up again.

lol 2.5 mil sub losses would have stopped at 7.5mil from 10 if you look at the chart it drops below 7.5 it did increase back up to around 7.5 at the point when wod pre patch launched
