Continuing the discussion from The Deserter debuff needs to go or a change:
The deserter debuff is being applied now even if you leave after killing a boss and before the next boss pull. This is ridiculous! Players often leave if they need no other bosses and it was never causing the deserter debuff before recently. What is the thinking behind this change. I, for one, do not have time to kill bosses I have already killed nor to wait 30 minutes to que for the next wing!!!
I think you accidentally posted this in the wrong forums. If you’re talking about retail, you should probably post it over there.
Having not experienced the debuff in recent memory, could you give some steps to reproduce, as well as a breakdown of how it worked before and perhaps what one might be doing to notice or care about this at all.
(That’s not sarcasm. I feel that I play this game probably more than I should, but I haven’t noticed this and I’m trying to understand what situations one might be in where they would care about this, sincerely)
If it’s a continuation from the linked thread, then that is about Cata Classic. Not sure what would imply these forums aren’t the correct ones…
Sounds like a personal problem
wait they added the retail version on cata too?
I didn’t click the link. The topic is titled “wow war within” I just assumed they were talking about retail.

That’s actually a very good reason that I must have missed! haha

You are correct though, OP has seemed to have coninuted this from a cata thread which was only posted 10 hours ago and only has 17 replies.
Not sure why it needed a 2nd thread to begin with. Think OP got a little confused because they are even talking about LFR.
LFR wont even be added to cata so this has no relevance to cata anyway
Has this been confirmed? Because the same was said about RDF and we got that.

The devs said they dont want to add it but you know they also said that cata would be a faster Cadance of content and we are getting 6 months of each raid. So who really knows!!!
Have a link to where they said this?
This would still be shorter than OG Cata so it isn’t exactly wrong.

18 months for 3 raid tiers is a long time.
No, What would be too long is if they did a repeat of 5.4, which was 399 days long, over a year.
The original Hour of Twilight patch was over 8 months long aswell, 6 months is still shorter.

Lol the player pop already tanked after 6 months of P1 raids imagine how much it would drop after a 1 year of the last of MoP?
Raid phases should be 3 months!!! Not 6 especially for re-released content.
We don’t need to imagine it, it already happened when these patches were current content on Retail.

No 6 months is fine, your idea would make Cataclysm Classic only 9 months long.

Yes, but it’s even worse this time; they don’t have millions of subscribers playing classic. I believe there are fewer than 20,000 players raiding throughout the entirety of Cataclysm.
In OG they had over 10mil subs in MoP and at the end of MoP they dropped down like 6mil thats a 40% drop in subs over a single expac.
Won’t know the true number until Ironforge is updated for the opening week of Firelands.
And even that isn’t accurate because not every raid formed is logging.

That is true but we know that the subs are far less then what they where in og cata.
