You can’t prove that it’s not though. You’re saying exactly the same thing I am just…the other side of it. You are literally just saying what we all know it’s a waste of time.
You left the group before it was completed.
It’s sucks when it’s because of a dc but you still broke the rules.
And…the only proof that exists…is the fact that the conversation needs to be had in the first place because of it wasn’t a problem nobody would be talking about it.
Yeah see, people were still doing that though. A lot of people. To the point where it got on Blizzard’s radar. Do you realize how often that has to be done before Blizzard notices and acts on it? The answer is a lot of times.
Which doesn’t even factor in the people who would join a dungeon group for Ara-Kara for example, see that the boss they wanted to kill for loot was dead and then immediately leave the group because they wanted that boss loot and nothing else.
It literally was happening at a high rate before the leaver penalty was added to the dungeon finder back in Wrath. And when the people who would do that realized that they wouldn’t get the penalty if they were kicked, they started holding groups hostage until they were kicked from said group so they wouldn’t get the penalty.
You remove the leaver penalty and you’ll see that behaviour return. The bad actors haven’t gone anywhere. It’s just better now to burn a dungeon in 15-20 minutes and queue for the next one than it is to wait 30m for the debuff to drop after bailing.
Irrelevant and just you making an excuse for trolling behavior. “Oh don’t worry Timmy, your big brother only bullied you once.” Is essentially what you sound like. Sorry but if you want to farm something like that, farm it with a private group and stop trying to justify screwing over the public.
Except that’s not always the case and sometimes you’re waiting far longer than that for a group refill. Not about difficulty or similar, it’s about not screwing over the group. One guy wanting a trinket is not so important he gets to screw over 4 other people by dipping out because he’s salty over not getting his drop. Sorry that’s not how that works. It’s akin to a guy quitting a team because they wouldn’t make him quarter back and then forcing that team to drop out of a tournament. Sorry but that team has every right to be mad at him.
This is like saying hacks don’t happen enough to warrant having some kind of security on your computer. The reason hacking isn’t much more rampant than we see is because there is security on most rigs. Likewise the leaver penalty prevents the largest majority of this which is why you don’t see it much these days. So the penalty is doing exactly what it was designed to do. Don’t go around dropping groups all the time and you won’t have to worry about the leaver penalty, simple as that.
No one is going to wait 30 minutes for you to return. Kick justified.
And you can’t prove that it is. So do you want to keep going in circles, or do you actually want to accomplish something and provide some evidence? If you’re so confident it’s actually being abused, why are you so afraid to post even a single statistic of some kind that you believe backs up your claims?
Leaver penalty is doing its job of preventing people from trying to hold groups hostage or constantly leaving and rejoining the next second to get random rewards without random effort. So the only people who’s time it “wastes” are those who have done something to deserve it.
And that is not proof. That is people making unsubstantiated claims. Also by your logic, Superman exists in reality and I’m a Green Lantern because I can talk about them. Not even remotely how that works dude. People talk about fictional things all the time. Further by your own logic, since people claiming it’s happening = proof, I say it’s not happening so that means it’s not happening. By your own logic again, you’ve admitted your only proof is people claiming it’s happening, so again that is not proof and you’ve admitted you have nothing. So why exactly should any of us believe you, let alone blizzard?
dude literally told us why he got kicked
Which goes to prove my point that most folks who whine about being kicked know exactly why they were kicked but refuse to do anything about it. Instead they sit back and claim “kick abuse” to justify their trolling.
I have never seen anyone, including myself, get kicked for absolutely no reason. 99% of the time people get kicked because of their mouth not because of performance.
You’re hilarious man.
I am going to give you a suggestion. Never go too slow as a tank - that will get you kicked faster than going too fast. If no one in the group is dying and if people aren’t straggling behind you are going the correct speed.
i dc’d abt 2 weeks ago, no more than 20 seconds and i got kicked as heals.
should be a grace period or something for that but is what it is.
nowadays every role is pretty much quickly and easily replaced.
The rules are poorly written and poorly implemented.
Bro…what the hell does that…or that post that you strangely pulled from my post history have to do with being removed for no reason? The post we are currently in doesn’t have anything to do with some post about why tanking is an issue. Lol.
If…I had been removed from a group because I was asking them to slow down or whatever reason that would mean I was actively engaged in the reason I would have been kicked or removed. Hence I would know the dang reason.
That’s not at all what this post was about and both times I’ve been removed since launch weren’t on my tank and had nothing to do with the post you just randomly pulled from. That’s honestly strange behavior man…trying to make something that has nothing to do with a topic in question relevant to prove a point is weird.
A post about why tanking is a mess or whatever the hell that was about doesn’t even remotely have anything to do with abusing a kick system.
It may or may not be happening a lot but the recent uptick in conversation about it and the fact that I’ve personally seen it twice since the launch of tww have absolutely nothing to do with tanking issues and a complete and totally separate issue in a complete and totally different post.
I’m not sure where a person feels the need to do stuff like that. It’s odd man. But anyways…take care. Enjoy searching around people’s post history…
lol, just keep digging.
Ironic use of the word digging there bud.
I for one frequently kick people from dungeons for no actual reason, often times right at the last boss. Really gets the salt flowing.
So yeah, can confirm, people get kicked from stuff for no reason.
They aren’t poorly written or implemented.
You left the group before completion. The reason is irrelevant.
