I did do that i have cleared couple 13s but the badge is still there 
M+ seems to have been buggy since the last maintenance day. People completed their runs, but didn’t get credit for the vault. So it’s probably something you’ll have to wait till this Tuesday to get rid of.
Did you leave any other groups while you knocked out those 13’s?

You got it when you DON’T want it, so statistically, you’re unlucky or the problem. (More likely.)
The deserter’s badge is rare enough to be on par with transmog as in anyone that has it, actually wanted it.
The only way to get it is leaving group without resetting after a first pull brick. (Abandon not available yet.)
There aren’t enough situations otherwise. Hostage situations are too rare for it to be the only source.

You can reset by zoning out as a group.
