I like where your head is at - I propose an alternative solution. Make doom baseline, and make the doom enhancement talent a recreation the Doom + Unerring Vision of Lei Shen effect from MoP.

Sorry to necro a thread. But i was just looking at the doom talent and the real icing on the cake is that it generates ONE soulshard after 18 seconds lmao
Doom has potential if it summoned a temp doomguard after expire or gave wild imps and had some ticks every 5 seconds or something.
Its used in pvp as a shard generator lol
