Demonology needs some love, it’s so frustrating to be forced to play affli or destro every xpac while demonology is garbage 24/7.
Yeah I played around with it on beta, Plays terribly lmao, no surprise. No chances expected.
Bumping this in the hopes that a developer on their team makes some meaningful changes.

When i full burst in pvp with max pets out on beta at 220ilvl which its rare to get a good burst off cause melee constant trains you unless you play a certain comp my tyrant only hits for around 2k-3k and my friend bewitch 3300 demo lock on live his 170 lock with bis burst tyrant only hits for around 1800 its absurb that our only burst of damage does such little damage not even 10% of someones hp unless it crits, tyrant is really easy to counter and yet it does very little dmg making the spec unviable. The pet cast alone made demo unviable in arena, but to add on top of the spec getting [Edited by Blizzard] blizzard added a 6 second cast and made fel dom a 3 minute cd so i just lose my defensives and utility for 3 minutes?? demo is suppose to be the spec to master summoning demons yet it still takes them 6 seconds to summon one has to be a joke

I mean I honestly love Demonology so much. It’s super, total garbage right now. I don’t want to play this game anymore, I don’t want to keep trying to believe that it’s going to get better. It’s not. They don’t give a sht about us, they’re never going to. PVP is entirely based on 1 overperforming spec per class and that’s pretty much it. Time and time and time again we get that.
I don’t know why every xpac comes with its token demonology rework if they are just going to half azs it then give up
dunno, as I say with most skirmish experiences (especially since this one is in the 51-59 bracket with my mage friend being 60) its hard to say whether demo is good or not based on a skirm match, but I think the demo was qing with the same rogue together; the demo outplayed me a lot first game, and the rogue threw and didn’t have trinket to get bombed, but demo seems decent at the very least and not unviable (maybe tm skirmish 51-59 bracket etc).
The mage that I qd with is who I got my 2200 achiev with last season, and I def played the first game pretty bad. Skip a bit for the second match.
Uh, just open demo and kill us in like 5 seconds. That was way too much running around and everything.
Like I said he has very little burst on his own, etc. In order for that Tyrant to have been effective, it would take far more demons out. Especially with any self healing of yours, you could just vanish and wait for cds. The Tyrant didn’t even cast anything at all because of AI.
If I don’t pre-evasion pet stu, I get stunned and need to trade trinket offensivelf if I don’t want to die. The Locks reaction to me sapping his pet is to port and get his pet back in action to stun/peel my opener.
First game I wanted to 100-0 rogue but alas he got polyd and decided to go warlock and pop blades and got wall. I could not killl him through wall so I had to wait 20 seconds for another go. Teammate got kicked in the second go, and tried to duel reset but his rogue stopped it and we lost.
Second game we 100-0 the rogue because he threw while the demo rotted us and almost killed me a few times.
My mage was getting toasted because I thought it was a good idea to let him 1v1 the demo while the other rogue was in stealth and got fried by most of the pets that werent tyrant my vanish in the first game was bad, but my mage died while I was at no health anyways so it wouldnt have mattered much. Second game he alter timed the burst while I vanished it, letting my mage alter time and kite before second opener, and he can’t peel for his rogue bud because he forgot to bind trinket so he dies in a bomb; he did peel the first kill attempt though.
idk might be skirms balancing at 51-59, but lock didn’t die 100-0 in all my kill attempts despite trinketing blind because he traded properly each time. I’m not going to sit around and pve a warlock after dance ends when I’m a kill target.
tl;dr only if I did kill him 100 to 0 with shadowblades in his wall

After recently seeing a interview with a former World of Warcraft developer discussing the best way to communicate to the development team, I am bumping this post. The problems for demonology still exist and just continue to be ignored. Below is a list summing up this post and it’s content:
-6 second pet summon being reverted to 2 second cast time.
-“Dreadlash” damage profile updated to be competitive with “Bile Scourge Bombers” and “Demonic Strength.”
-“From the Shadows” updated to be applied by “Dread Bite.”
-“From the Shadows” updated to work with our Demonic Tyrant, “Inner Demon” demons, and “Nether Portal” demons that cast Shadow Flame damage.
-“Grimoire: Felguard” cool down changed back to 1.5 minutes.
-“Sacrified Souls” damage profile updated.
-“Nether Portal” updated to match each soul shard spent.
-“Nether Portal” soul shard cost and cast time removed.
-“Summon Demonic Tyrant” updated to be instant cast.
-“Call Felhunter” moved from the pvp talent tree to a baseline demonology ability.
-“Singe Magic” pvp talent fixed for glyphed imps. Now appropriately dispels a target if a fel imp is used.
-“Call Fel Lord” hit points updated to reflect Shadow Lands hit point pool.
-“Call Fel Lord” updated to remove visible swing timer for opposing players.
-“Call Fel Lord” updated to remove 10% hit points to any hostile targets within the 6 yard radius.
-“Call Observer” hit points updated to reflect Shadow Lands hit point pool.
-“Shadow Bolt” cast time reduced from 2.5 seconds to 1.5 seconds.
