I’m having a problem with a level 104 Demon Hunter and a piece of 138 leather gear she’s had/used for a while.
I logged in after the patch and the ‘repair’ icon was persistently on, which was super annoying as I’d repaired everything (even equipping fishing pole and repairing just to be FULLY sure.)
The sleeve portion was red, so I unequipped and moused over my Pit Lord’s Cuffs - these are the soulbound leather wrist item my lvl 104 DH had been using prior to the patch.
Tooltip says “you can never use this item”.
It’s a level 138 soulbound piece of leather loot that I’ve been using for a while - what’s up with the “you can never use” error? DH is even a LW so it shouldn’t be a crafting/crafted item issue, right?

Same, my 415 ilvl LW crafted pants having the same error.
Okay, whew - we’re not alone? So it’s probably a bug that will be worked out in a bit if we ticket it. Yay!
I haven’t logged in for some time on my demon hunter so I have no idea if it’s the latest patch that did this or not but–
This is definitely also an issue for me on my lvl 107 demon hunter, Illude (WRA). I noticed the little repair dude on my screen & tried repairing to no avail (the repair icon was greyed out as if everything was fine yet I had the wrist section showing in red on screen). Thinking to remove them & re-equip to see if it was a display error, I then got the same error message “You can never use that item” & an inability to re-equip these bracers I’d had since I made the character (which is bizarre when they’re the Pit Lord’s Cuffs that can be looted in the DH starting area).
It’s not a big deal to replace them… eventually… but in the meantime I’ve had to go back to the original starter bracers. :’)

I’m having the same issue on my lvl 100 demon hunter - Pit Lord’s Bracers (ilvl 138) - super weird.

I just logged in to my Demon Hunter and noticed the same thing. Does the Pit Lord now have a problem with demon hunters?
they’re faction specific.
go back to the vendor, and buy the ones for your faction.
Doing same thing to me August 2020, so the fix is not there for Pitt Lord’s Cuffs. I have not played the toon in a while and its in the bag saying can’t ever use it.
As Demohna said, this is still happening. Pit Lord’s cuffs.
Nobully’s advice may or may not be wrong, but my demon hunter has never faction transferred. If I did have the wrong faction version, that is still a bug.
Pit Lord’s Cuffs are an easy fix, since they’re a vendor item… though I did have to spend 23g (net) to equip a lower level version of an item I already had.
