I think it demonstrates the complete opposite, frankly.
The only way to threaten a tank is to put a dps check infront of them or 1 shot them.
Shadow Priests were so strong on Zekvir they could pretty much do the fight naked.

GD without bad analogies is like a sewing machine without a salt water fishtank attached
It wouldnât be practical. A one-time challenge is not the same as an endgame pillar meant to be replayed. If they made a single MT like scenario per spec, is anyone going to want to run the same challenge 8 times per week to fill the vault for months? I wouldnât.
We have 10 delves each with 3 stories. If they used the same scenario for multiple specs like MT, that would still be 210 different encounters theyâd need to design just to match the amount of variety that we have now.
No one will ever convince me that this content would bring in enough subs to pay for itself. Itâs a nice idea and in a world with infinite resources, Iâd be all for it but we donât live in that world.
I absolutely agree. I wouldnât want to do it. Iâm just saying thats the ONLY way to possibly up the difficulty and still be fair to all specs in the game.
Also agree. Taking on that kind of work to try to satisfy a very VERY small number of elitist whiners isnât practical and would do nothing but alienate the delve core audience.
More sources of myth track gear is a good thing.
Exactly my thoughts
Still forums are a very small amount of more invested players. But at the end of the day Iâm pretty sure youd get people to vote to be able to get bis from world quests or by mail once they cap because a lot of people just want rewards and do not care as much for content. I donât think personally that itâs good game design to treat gear mostly like a chore but that seems to be something many like same as many liked grinding artifact power.
no it was introduced as completely solo content. that you could just so happen to group in. and at the beginning grouping with people actually made them harder because of how it scaled with groups vs 1 person.
and I donât think I misunderstood anything. and the game already does that, or are you not privy to how current appearances work? they are already in 4 different sets of colors equal to their respective difficulties. you are just adding another way to get gear from content you donât engage in.
and you can already craft myth pieces if you have the crests you are just short a few ilvls from max cause you cant upgrade them, yet.
again you are just moving the goal post to get things from where they donât belong.
again delves are fine as is, stop adding layers to something thats already figured out.
Nullaeus shows us the template for how Blizzard can do a better job balancing delves (and frankly, how blizzard can failâsee healers).
Currently, the general spec difficulty in Midnight T11 delves is healer (easiest) > tank > dps (hardest).
For healers, Blizzard could add healer specific offensive abilities, particularly from the bigger elites and bosses, that force targets the player and requires them to heal themselves and dispel debuffs. The player needs to be forced to juggle between healing themselves and Valeera.
For tanks, like with Nullaeus, more enemiesâparticularly the bigger elites and bossesâneed tank buster abilities.
Maybe for dps, Blizzard could consider adding soft enrages so you canât sustain through Valeera forever.
The solution is not to rebalance every delve so different specs essentially play different delve varients. It is to add spec specific abilities to pre-existing mobs within delves.
Beyond that, Blizzard can scale up the difficulty beyond T11, there is no reason it needs to be the cap. T11 could also be made more difficult, those delves were much more difficult in TWW season 1 than they are now.
Frankly, the take that solo content should never reward myth gear is nonsensical. The better question is whether Blizzard can, and how Blizzard should, create and balance more difficult solo content to justify awarding that gear.
Gearing is interesting (pseudo-random) nonsense.. you complete a boss/dungeon/delve or whatever and basically earn the right to pull a lever that may or may not award you anything (or anything useful), not unlike a slot machine. I understand people like the feeling they get when something drops for them, and probably feel even worse when they donât⌠not exactly my cup of tea, and yet it is, unfortunately.
Itâs to easy to be âfigured outâ man. You can clear the first 8-10 ranks while in green gear.
I mean the first thing I did when I reached lvl 90 was to go try delves and I was able to beat rank 11 delve the first week of the game release and since then I just rince and repeat that and it get easier and easier the more geared I get.
Thereâs no challenge at all
this might not be a good idea..
if mythic level gear were to start coming from delves, a consequence would probably be far less participation in mythic+ dungeons because delves would become the path of least resistance. and if you increase the difficulty of delves to compensate, you then alienate the players for whom delves were intended for in the first place.
tough call but I think I have to say I disagree on mythic gear coming from delves.
By that logic M+ shouldnât have ever existed since its a path of least resistance compared to original mythic raids.
perhaps your right. no mythic gear from delves and remove the cesspool of m+ and the game would probably be a better place. I agree with you.
This is ALWAYS how wow gearing has worked.
Edit - there are just more avenues to that slot pull now.
The thing is that M+ cesspool is never going away, it will get worse and worse the harder they make the dungeons and push to remove add-ons.
The only way to reduce the toxicity would be to make M+ ultra easy where you have next to 0 challenges and have everything for free.
And now you have no reason anymore to even play, just like delves right now
Iâm gearing just fine with delves as someone finally getting back into PVE. Letâs me pace myself on running keys cause I donât really like doing a lot of dungeons
Yeah, I know⌠only point I was trying to make is that I donât like it and yet find myself hooked to it (at least at times).
As a âInfinite Delverâ since TWW, I highly disagree.
We donât need Mythic gear. Based on some classes/specs, youâre already breezing through T11âs around ilvl 260 making them feel like effortless T8âs.
You get a Hero piece from weekly GV, Hero piece from Bountiful Map, Hero piece from Vendor (T11 w/ 50/100/150/200 currency) and a low chance to loot a Hero piece of gear from a Bountiful Coffer (T11).
So, essentially, you can obtain 4 pieces of Hero gear per week just from Delvers Journey Rank 9. On top of that, you can spam non-Bountiful T11âs and receive ~10 Hero crests per run until youâre weekly capped.
Oh no, solo players will get lootâŚ.how dare they. Nah, you donât need to revert nerf anything.
