Eh…there’s like a few pieces truly unique to delves and they’re meh at best. The best cosmetic rewards from delves are the appearances of all the pve tier sets.
You want to keep better cosmetics away from the “the bads” aka the solo players. That’s your entire point.
While I do think this is the exception not the rule, if you don’t…ever want to possibly be in that situation, you shouldn’t have to be to get the rewards.
True, though I do find myself wanting to do that content again. Because it’s nice that I have the option that if I don’t enjoy the M+ grind, I can grind in my own way solo and arrive at the same goal.
i do think they shouldn’t give mythic gear but on the other hand, delve loot has the worst stats and trinkets so i don’t think this would really effect anyone, certainly not high end raiders or mythic+ players: they will take one look at your delve junk and then they will probably get someone else. hah.
You talking about unique color variants of the same set for each activity? Because that’s the only way it’d remotely be equal.
Pvp is just another color of the same set.
That’s when they make the delve color look better than any of the others, or when the mythic color was the best (back before you could earn it solo or waiting at least 4 years). You wouldn’t want to farm the color in delves, would you?
So only mythic raiders deserve to play this game. Got it.
Mythic raiding is arguably the only thing that is still fun in the game. M+ has been not quite set to remix levels, but it’s pretty close.
Remix sucks.
Why wouldn’t different sets be acceptable? Imagine getting something completely different, that would pass for a tier set in itself if Blizzard offered it.
You can’t be fixated on a unique set that a mythic raid has if you would accept that set in a future tier, if Blizzard used it for raids.
Unless your stance is: if it’s not a raid cosmetic, it sucks.
The discussion within this thread is to let Delves award Mythic Gear.
You’re combating that position by stating that Mythic Gear should only be reserved for group play.
When I asked you if that’s really your stance.
You claim: "Isn’t that how it is now? " "What solo content gives Mythic gear? "
This thread was made due to the fact that it wants to change how things are now.
When you oppose a situation, your line of defense cannot appeal to current standards, due to the fact that the discussion at hand challenges that very nature, you must bring more to the table than that.
You’re just going in circles and you have not provided a legitimate reason why your stance of keeping Mythic Gear reserved for Group Play is a justifiable stance to take.
Not saying I never die. There are several mechanics that are genuinely dangerous:
3 pack nemesis mobs that do a stacking bleed dot (but they nerfed it so I’m not really sure how dangerous it is anymore)
3 pack nemesis mobs (the other ones) that launch a bunch of stuff in the air and make swirlies. Pretty sure those will 1-shot you
Mobs that put a thorns aura on themselves.
There’s probably a few more…
Having a little higher ilvl might let you fully ignore 2 of those 3, but they’re all easy to deal with in the first place, and the only reason I die to these is by getting distracted by just mindlessly doing my rotation.
Oddly, there are so many mechanics that even in T11 at ilvl 250 are just completely ignoreable, even like the main boss mechanic.
I’ll have to take your word for it, as I’ve never done above a +2 and I’ve only done like 4 of those. But I think my point is the gear should somewhat correlate to the difficulty of the thing. I’m NOT saying this in a gatekeeping fashion like “you can’t get high end gear because you’re doing easy content”. It’s more like there’s just not much value to the gear beyond a certain point, other than, I guess, to just farm/grind faster. But I’m not sure why I’d keep grinding. I kinda stopped already. My Druid is 261, and I just don’t feel the need to grind anymore. I’ll probably do a few here and there, but there’s really nothing to work towards in delves.
Honestly this is my main criticism, and I complained about it repeatedly in the beta. Valeera is TOO GOOD. She’s so much more powerful than Brann was. Of course, this depends on her level, but mine is somewhere in the 40’s I think, and:
As a healer, she not only does like 80% of my damage (whereas Brann did like nothing), she also throws one of her healing orbs directly onto you, so you are automatically getting one very large heal + dot every 20 sec no matter what.
As a tank, she does about as much damage as I do, frequently a little more… and of course she TANKS for me, so if there’s no ambient damage or off-target abilities, there’s basically nothing to do except DPS with no danger.
As a DPS, I don’t use her on my feral (though I have tried it), and she does even more damage than as a tank. It’s not a whole lot more, but it’s more. It’s not really worth it as a squishy DPS to use her this way. But when I use her on this prot war, she does like 80-90% of the total damage between the two of us.
She’s also nearly invicible in all 3 roles. Yes there are some weird interactions sometimes where she’ll get trucked… I think there’s some logic about how many mobs are attacking her, likely designed to prevent you from pulling the whole delve. She’ll barely take any damage from hard-hitting nemesis packs, but if you pull 5+ trivial mobs like the little baby lasher things in Collegiate Calamity, she’ll fall over.
The new delves are, in my opinion, really good. They just need to balance them a little better to create a sense of danger and/or urgency to keep you engaged. Cuz right now I’m not feeling it. I’m one of Delves’ biggest fans, but I switched to TBC Classic…
It’s all fine to act as if my response made no sense by linking a gif image, but you have yet to explain why you believe that Mythic Gear should only be reserved for group content.
All you’ve done is appeal to current standards, when the discussion within this thread is opposing those standards in the first place.
You cannot say: "You’re wrong because currently it doesn’t work that way ".
If your standard of logic was used for rules and regulations today, no laws would ever change.
