Delves - Need Increased Difficulty In Groups

Wrong for this content - we already have M+ and raids for groups, delves should IMO be balanced more towards solo / non-group players.

Also, this should NOT turn into another must-grind gear source for players engaged in group play - which it is in danger of becoming - look at the types of players who were given time outs for exploiting reputation (for gear) and had their Brann levels rolled back (power leveled to make it easier to get gear), it wasn’t solo players - it was RWF raiders.

Truthfully, I don’t care or want it to be easier. Challenges are nice.

People shouldn’t be able to walk in with a full group and slaughter the Dung… Delve.

No. You want a challenge, remove your armor.

No, if you want harder in groups do M+ or raids

But it isn’t a universal problem. It might be a problem for YOU and some others, but that doesn’t mean that it’s a global problem.

People going into something that requires a 610 ilvl and they’re only 571 and getting stomped doesn’t mean it needs to be properly balanced… it means the people need to be properly geared if their skill level can’t overcompensate.

If anything decrease it when solo xD

agreed, there is a massive gaps between classes on the levels that each class can actually solo.

I remember it being touted as something you can do solo, should you choose. Not that it was primarily meant to be focused solely as a solo activity.

I know? I wasn’t responding to you, I was responding to Debbydowner. I don’t care one lick if the difficulty goes up in group delves. Once M+ drops, delves won’t matter to me except to do the seasonal journey for the mount and by the time I decide to focus that I’ll vastly overgear them anyways lol. Tho I haven’t even bothered doing them with a group, mostly cause I don’t trust random nubs to not stand in stupid and waste my lives. Maybe I should give it a go; if they’re so much easier/faster, I can squeeze more toons in per day!

It’s not just the difficulty. You shouldn’t just be able to walk in a delve. These things should have attunements. It would also be cool if you got some sort of stat bonus or extra reward if you are an archeologist.

Also those keys should be tradable to alts.

Not only that but it would be cool if there was a delve spec for all classes or at least the classes that can’t solo easily. Its a nightmare on my evoker which I don’t main DPS on.

I tested this since I have 2 accounts, right now monster hp and dmg goes down about 30-40% with 2 people vs solo, + you have extra person helping so ofc they are easier.

Yes solo delve monsters have more hp than if you are there with someone else. Don’t know how that makes sense but thats how it is currently.

The bottom line is that people don’t like playing inefficiently. Blizzard should know this. Everyone should know this.

The fact that grouping for delves trivializes the content means it is a must do thing. Sure you can just solo normal dungeons, tediously. That doesn’t make normal dungeons solo content. They’re obviously much more efficiently done in groups of five. So that’s the psychological mandate.

They need to rework delves so they are only soloable; no parties allowed. Otherwise, the people that came back to this game for a solo alternative route to gearing psychologically know they’re playing extremely inefficiently. Which ends any motivation to play the game.

It becomes either quit, or group up like everything else.

LOL why? I like playing with my friends and I like that I can run them solo or with any party size up to 5.

I solo’d all 4 of my Bountifuls today because I wanted to get them done early. It was fine.

Why worry about the advantage a group has though?

The whole point of Delves were that they can be done solo. Something you can’t do with M+.

If they’re going to tune and adjust, it has to be done right. Should it be equally hard in a group vs solo? In a general sense, yes. But only if they can do that without taking away the ability to do it solo.

I love delves, they’re the only reason I’m sticking around honestly. T8 solo is fantastic. It’s difficult, it requires skill and is rewarding for the effort you put in.

What level Delve are most of you referring to? I tried to solo a bountiful 8 and the incoming damage was too great for me. Even in my tank spec. I was doing it solo. Now I was able to complete a solo Bountiful 7, but it took a lot of work and some special pulling of mobs because if I hadn’t the empowered adds would have trucked me. No amount of Brann healing would have been enough, and his pet is CC’ed most of the time.

LOL ok let’s just make raiding with 40 players an option for m+ then. It’s just about the fun, right? Me and my 39 friends can just watch Netflix while getting the best gear in the game.

No “we all” didn’t. Some of you who wanted to solo stuff may have but for most of us we looked at delves as something we could do in smaller groups or possibly solo but the emphasis on groups smaller than five people.

They are balanced for solo players, they are meant to be your end game pillar last you for +4 months, if you are really a solo player then start doing bountiful on lower ranks and progress trough the content.

Most of the playerbase won’t be doing 10 m+ keys for weeks, maybe even months. A rank 8 delve is the equivalent to that +10 key.

What are you even talking about? Delves are an alternative to M+ and Raiding for solo and small group enjoyers.

No one said you’re expected to do be able to do Bountiful 8’s the first week solo if it’s too much for you. Go as high as you can and get some gear.

That’s how progression works for all the other end game pillars.

This guy gets it. It’s hysterical that casual solo players finally get an end game prog system and come to the forums to complain they can’t do the hardest level Day 1.

No thanks, I tried to do a T8 Solo and couldn’t but being able to find a group for it and easily finish thanks to the added help made it worthwhile.

then i wasnt talking about you and it’s completely unnecessary for you to say this. when i say “we”, i was obviously just excluding you, and you alone, out of 8.2 billion people
