Delves are BiS

Because a healer or caster trying to do a solo dungeon probably wouldn’t have much fun compared to a fully self sufficient tank. The npc is just there to make the experience more consistent. Its still tuned for 2 people and going to be as if you had a real person with you. Its not just sit back and let the npc solo it.

exactly, the NPC is there to ensure that the delve is completed successfuly, regardless of the player’s class/spec/average ilvl… so it should be perfectly fine if delves only awarded cosmetics.

I mean… is the NPC actually going to do substantial damage, or are they just gonna be a walking training dummy that taunts aggro off of you? There’s different ways NPCs can be implemented. Personally, I like the idea of going in as a DPS without any NPC to aid me, but I’m not against people having the option to have NPCs helping.

Edit: typo

The only type of mythic raider i dislike are those who wont let other people have nice things out of some notion that if anything else exists, they have to do it.

The mythic raiders like you who just want to have a good time and want others to have fun as well are cool in my eyes.

well like, take the delves great vault row for example.

what if the gear that drops in the great vault from delves could be tier pieces, then raiders would definitely be forced to do delves in order to get their powerful tier set bonus as soon as possible.

You can convert gear in to tier…

you only get one charge every two weeks… so any other source for getting a piece of tier would be basically non-optional for raiders.

Odds are strong that it wont reward tier, just gear that you can convert in to tier.
Same as mythic+

Really who cares? They are a vast minority in WoW and yet have gotten a ton of attention. Let them cry: Nobody forces them to do anything but themselves.

God the lights are on but there’s nobody home it would seem.

The delve is tuned to be completed by 2+ people.

If two people queue for it, there are 2 people.

If one person queues and gets one NPC. They are 2 people.

2=2=2

That’s an omegalul from me.

even if the delve’s great vault row only awards gear that can be converted into tier, raiders would be forced to fill out that row to ensure they get a piece of gear they can convert into tier.

for example, a raider fills out all three slots of raid vault and mythic plus vault - but those six slots only yielded rings and a necklace, they wouldn’t get any gear that could be converted into tier.

so the raider would have to do the delves in order to maximise their chances of getting a piece of convertible gear in the vault.

I can live with that.

but you aren’t a raider that would be forced to do delves when they are already forced to do mythic plus as well.

Nevermind, Brann Bronzbeard sends his regards.

Look infinitely spamable mythic+ exists.

If youre the type of raider who needs everything and everything, youre on that infinite treadmill already.
Youre running +20 all day already.
And that doesnt have to change.

And if youre not already doing this, then youre not the type of player forced to do delves.

do you know how low of a chance it is to get the piece of gear you want from the end of dungeon in a mythic plus?

each dungeon has countless drops for every class and on top of that, only 2 out of 5 people get a piece of loot from end of dungeon…

its quite common that a person has to run a mythic plus dungeon roughly 60-75 times in order to get the piece of gear they want.

i think the best option here is to just keep the delves at cosmetic rewards only.

this way, open world players get some cool things to enjoy and raiders aren’t forced to fill out 9 slots in a great vault when they already are forced to fill out 6.

I think the best option is you find another game.
Youre nothing but a hiderence to this one.

Im done with the conversation.

but i truly enjoy this game and have a lot of fun playing it.

Not to mention that if they were hypothetically 441 vault (potentially even lower) then the mythic+ dungeons themselves which, as you said are farmable would provide the same ilvl and result in zero reason for anyone who could do them or mythic raids to do delves.

This whole conversation has been impressively stupid. I have more luck teaching my niece to read and she’s 3.
