I wasn’t aware of this, either. What an interesting issue.
Thanks everyone, ill make some changes when i get back on her and give them another go.
As I said to the OP before, I was doing T11 with my demo warlock long before my MM Main who was at least 20 ilevels higher. The healing pots from Brann are pretty nuts for a pet class like this.
Yeah, I too don’t think I’ve bothered doing much with the talents in a while ![]()
You are not. Intended trinity is:
Healer = tank Brann
DPS = healer Brann
Tank = DPS Brann
You can get cheeky and defy this intention, but you’re playing on a harder difficulty at that point.
To the OP: Brann’s potions heal yourself and your pet. With this knowledge. Demo is god mode for locks in delves.
Our baseline class tree is more or less the same (currently), except they removed the damage increasing nodes so you just pick up every defensive/utility talent and don’t have to pay anything for it.
Class tree is a bit more fluid. They seem to want to reduce Demos cleave profile and split it more into AoE or single target instead of “pretty good at ST, but great at AoE” or “great ST and pretty good AoE”.
Still gunna be a lot of changes to it of course.
Definitely just as viable. I just really enjoy watching the demon army go to town in delves. Affliction is no less amazing feeding the potion healing to the VW. This lock is almost always affliction and goes demo when actually “pushing” in delves. Affliction or destruction with VW is just fine. The sharing of potion healing is just crazy awesome!
I think the poster who detailed the Soul Link bug is probably the right answer for the OP.
I gave it a cursory glance in the humongous class notes, getting rid of Grimore: Felguard (ok I liked that one) and Corruption changed or removed (fairly useless spell) and something about making Demonic Tyrant less essential for other spells to have impact (just reread that part).
It’s not my main but feel like it’s going to survive the pruning fairly intact ![]()
Healer Brann and Soulburn Health Funnel. Never had any issue in delves.
I found out about the bug only recently and still haven’t bothered. I was doing T11s and losing the Felguard every couple of times but I just resummon. This is mainly because I’m lazy and don’t like changing talents on my alts when doing different content. This might change if I (currently) don’t plan on doing anything else with my Warlock alt.
Oh yeah, it’ll be fine. They’ve removed a lot of the annoyances of Demo, Imps now last significantly longer, but are capped at 9 from HoG (plus three perma-imps) so you don’t get your tyrant windows screwed over by movement.
They’ve merged Dreadstalkers and Vilefiend together so you’ll always get a vilefiend when you summon the dogs, which you never wanted to summon them separately on live anyway so :shrug:
Impslosion is a lot better and you get Doomguard (who AoEs again) guaranteed when you Implosion 9+ imps instead of being reliant on Doom RNG.
Some complaints about the spec being too simple post-rework though, the rotation is basically SBx3 > HoG > Repeat infinitely until Dogs or Tyrant come up. Also HoG transforms once you’re maxed out on Imps, but the ability it transforms to is pure ST (as opposed to AoE like HoG) which feels super weird in AoE and Imps lasting longer means that Core economy is absolutely cratered without Power Siphon.
Most of those are easily solvable solutions though.
Not really.
Tank Brann + Aegis is far better than healing brann for DPS now, with some very specific exceptions.
As is usually the case, higher gear level helps with Felguard health. Try to space out your healing potions, avoid getting hurt, and use Soulburn Health Funnel if needed.
Usually for me it’s the ethereal drop-in mobs that cause him the most problems and some spell casters.
On the whole, I don’t usually lose him, unless I get careless.
Changed some talents around and ive run two 11s without issues, thanks everyone.
