Does any think they’re delaying a nerf to rets in hopes that some people will come back to the game to take advantage of a class that’s super OP and get the rating they always wanted?
Could be a toss up. Out of 12 classes (20+ dps specs) that exist in the game right now, I wouldn’t say its the most reasonable move to keep 1 particular spec incredibly powerful over the others. This may in fact do the opposite of what you mentioned - which is discourage majority of the other classes/specs from queueing any rated arena currently (since there’s a 70% chance they’ll run into a ret).
Honestly there not delaying becasue Ret is pretty good atm and doesn’t need any tuning imho
No, it was a significant rework, and they’ll let it play out to gather data. Nerfs will happen this reset. Anyone who doesn’t think ret is getting nerfs soon is beyond fried. I just hope they don’t over correct and make the spec unplayable again. Especially since Hpal is still trash.

I think this strategy would probably just result in a net loss of subscribers because most people play a spec other than ret
Also it’s ostensibly most overpowered in arena, but a lot of healers aren’t going to want to queue to play solo shuffle with ret paladins and any of the other dps specs currently ruining the game
Easy money for them. Because everyone is buying boosts for ret. Imagine how many people paid $60 to boost up their Rets and rush to 70 so they can get free and easy rating ?
I’m not saying it’s a great idea. I just wonder if they’re thinking they’ll get a few extra months of subs and then fix ret and keep the players they have. It’s just such an outrageous outlier. Its surprising nothing has been done yet
guarantee it gets nerfed during this reset. I’ve already been a big Ret hater but holy crap i’m having fun, and it’s not like it’s just me bc that’s all i’m facing so it’s just OP vs OP which cancels out.

I totally agree. Some people are dumb enough to think this is fine but that guy has made several troll posts. He’s too obvious for me, but his dedication to multiple posts is admirable.
