Whats wrong with edge lords ?
“the majority” aka him and 5 other people posting on here about not wanting it to release. Imagine being this dense in 2019. Holy moly.
Great, Chad found the thread now it’s ruined
Yeah the up roar from Blizzard shutting down Nostalrius didn’t really spark something right?
Anyways P2 only brings an honor system to stay engaged outside of raid logging. Majority of people will not kill a WB and even if they did it’s not going to be multiple times and if they do kill one, it’s going to be months before they kill another. So WBs aren’t going to trivialize the already brainless content. We came to Classic for PvP. PvE in Classic is literally more simple than any dungeon in current WoW. Hardest part of raiding is finding 39 other people who are some what geared and have more than 30 IQ
There is an entire subgroup of players who didn’t start day 1 of classic. To us the release schedule feels very fast. Too fast. If we want any chance of being competitive with some of the other guilds the content release has to be slowed down.
Those who post on the forum are generally going to be the most obsessed players who play 24/7. So I’d bet there is a more silent majority the OP speaks about that is not happy about content being released this quickly.
I have yet to reach 60 and the game is losing my attention without battlegrounds. I’m in zero rush to raid at all without battlegrounds. The only complaint I have is that phase 2 doesn’t include the release of AV, AB and WSG.
P.S. The epic PvP battles you’re talking about are not going to happen as much as you think they are. Ghost walking 3/4 th’s the way across a map for most the evening is not as fun as it may sound.
I started late so slow down for me
that’s basically what you’re saying lol sorry bro people don’t run a marathon and stop so people who were late to it get to catch up
I agree Phase 2 was implemented poorly. With so many casual players not near lvl 60 leaves myself and many others playing a game where we just get corpse camped all day. Seeing more grey screen and hardly any play time is not my cup of tea. If battlegrounds had been released with the honor system this would make sense not logging in to play a dead character. See ya for phase 3
Then why roll on a pvp server lmao that’s your fault
why do people think that people on forums are the majority
agreed, don’t know why they think Classic is full of untouched content. It’s only been out for 15 years and none of the dungeons/raids have difficult mechanics. Yeah we want new content, ideally BGs to hold us over but the boomers think we have to slow down so that they can catch up. What does it matter if all the content was released? You’d have more content to catch up through while the rest of the average players have more content to do each week. Beats me why these low level players think they are the majority
there isnt “Tons to do”. Classic WoW is very bland when you hit 60. Raids, Honor, Gold Farm. Thats it.
This might come as a surprise to you, but a video game and a marathon are not the same thing. People in the lead of a marathon don’t actively try to ruin the enjoyment of the people behind them. Many of the people playing now - myself included - haven’t been playing on private servers or retail for a significant period of time and do not value (world) PVP the same way that these players do.
Looking at WoWWiki, WSG in Vanilla was initially released approximately 1 month after the introduction of the honor system. I do not see a reason to delay at least WSG given that Classic is a very different environment to Vanilla, with guides and other types of information being very easily accessible. This will satisfy both the hardcore PVP audience, the casual PVP audience and those who are not interested in PVP.
why did you roll on a pvp server if you did not want world pvp
Many reason, I hate pvp, but my guild wanted a pvp server, so here we are.
How is a phase coming out “too early” ruining your enjoyment? If you aren’t 60 and are complaining about getting camped, shouldn’t have rolled on a pvp server. Especially if you KNEW you weren’t going to hit 60 in 2 months minimum
We all expected Phase 2 to happen sometime in 3 months, so yeah 2.5 months is a bit under our expected time frame but what’s 2 weeks? If you weren’t 60 by 2 months you weren’t going to be competitively pvping. 2 months to hit 60 leaves you 4 weeks to get pre raid bis, gold for epic mount and raid MC. If you got super lucky and got pre raid bis in 6 days that’d leave you MAX 4 MC runs and 6 Ony runs. Assuming you hit 60 on a tuesday and got prebis on monday and did MC and Ony that same day.
I rolled on my server because my friends did, who then subsequently quit the game. World PVP to me is mass scale engagements like the one I just participated in for an hour in Southshore. Freeform attack/defence scenarios without the extra mechanics of battlegrounds. World PVP is not, however, 1vX ganks in the open world where you are at a disadvantage somehow. I’m fine to PVP if it’s on even ground like the Southshore scenario I described above, because you can start and stop whenever you want and it doesn’t involve other players attacking you when they have an advantage through health, mana or simply levels.
Your entire post is written as though I’m a hardcore player who has an established guild and has hardcore friends. I’m not asking to PVP competitively and I’m certainly not going to be checking BIS guides every two seconds to see if the item that just dropped is really good for me. I am also not rushing through levels with the intention of starting to raid and do PVP as soon as possible.
Phase 2 in particular ruins the enjoyment of the people around level 50 - as described above - which I just achieved on my Druid yesterday. I’m sure you can figure out why, but put simply its a level disparity which is not large enough to cause DHKs, but is large enough (and slow to level through as well) to give the ganking 60 a significant advantage. Even moreso seeing as the rest of my levelling is going to be done in high level contested zones with valuable resources.
I don’t understand what you’re trying to say with your second paragraph overall. I’m not a hardcore player and I’m not racing to make any times or to get a high PVP rank. Someone else’s enjoyment of the game should not affect mine, and vica versa.
For casual players, 2 weeks is more time that we could use to hit level 60. It would have been helpful.
^ This, especially for those on the smaller faction on significantly imbalanced PvP realms.
I think DHKs only come from killing civilian NPCs. You don’t get them for killing players.
Again why be on a pvp server if you don’t want to be pvp’d. If your friends left should’ve cut your losses and went PvE. That’s how the cookie crumbles.
Also you lost your argument, players don’t get DHKs. Only grey NPCs.
Also don’t worry they’ll probably announce WSG to come out soon. Though it won’t help if your on a faction that generally loses in BGs. Low levels will still get camped.
