Delay is unacceptable

Imagine caring about how other people spend their time.

Alot of people do and have done for most Xpacs.

Specially in this year where you shouldn’t be taking external vacations.

Some people don’t have choice in that either, cause alot of BIG COMPANY don’t like their people to go over their annual 4 weeks leave. I’t cause havoc if they have to release them and pay all leave owning to them as well.

I can carry 1 year over, but that’s it.

Being “unacceptable to you” does not change reality. The universe is not part of your imagination.

Software is NOT predictable. No human can predict “when” it will be finished. Bugs are worse. No human can predict “when” each bug will be isolated (found in the code) and fixed.

Dates are announced because customers demand that. An announced date is a “promise”. The company WILL fullfill that promise if it can be fulfilled. It’s top priority.

Here is the “good news”: no matter when it is released, the product won’t be perfect. It will still have bugs in it. So it could be released on time, but have more bugs than Blizzard would like. That gives Blizzard flexibility in “releasing on the planned date”.

If you’re taking off for a video game you’re honestly a damn fool knowing how often games are delayed in light of the GLOBAL PANDEMIC happening right now.

Chicken littles.

Link to the delay announcement or you’re just falling for fake news.

I’m sorry Blizzard is a hugh company making good dollars, it’s not acceptable for them to predict something and fined they screwed up and got it all wrong. Their are lots of people taking them at their word and have taken holidays with their so called timing of release date. ( if that is true and everything is on track then no hassle! but if not BAD PR for them. )

Then they should not give out a date. Say “Sometime late October” or “Early November” or “By the end of the year”

Don’t say “October 26” if you can’t do “October 26.”

I think its more that some people are suggesting there should be more time spent on fixing it. Possibly in the hope that more time will magically fix things.

Blizz website says 10.26.2020 like it has for 2 weeks now. Patch usually comes 2 weeks before that. Not seeing anything delayed? Where do you all get your news from?

Usually? It’s never come out 2 weeks before the launch lol. It’s always been at least 4.

its a polarizing thing. a lot of ppl want it delayed and a lot of ppl don’t.

no matter what happens half of the pop will be pissed lol

theres no winning anymore… everyone’s a snowflake lol

If you say so. Been watching pre-patches come out 2-4 weeks before a new x-pac for years. Blizz never made a promise on the patch. They do, however, have a launch date of 10/26/2020 on their website. So… I guess… just wait? All this drama over nothing.

I mean, you can look back all you want, the shortest prepatches were never shorter than 4 weeks, this is looking to be the shortest prepatch we’ve had, it’s a little annoying, but we have no control over it.

Exactly - so deep breath. It’s going to be what it’s going to be.
