There’s a lot of special mounts in the game for people that only play certain difficulties. And they can always create more. It shouldn’t be something everyone got to vote on. The whole approach was wrong. It’s not having rare or exclusive mounts that are the problem. It’s the framing of it all. If people knew from the start that it was only for normal and up, there’d be no problem. It’s on them that they never made that clear.
well, now you know that PTR is always subject to change. ![]()
gl with the cat mount ![]()
maybe they can give LFR a slime kitten pet or something lol
Defund the Goblins!
They make too much money!!!
I’ve participated in PTR, and know very well it’s subject to change. But this goes all the way back to the vote itself way before that. The controversy is deserved.
And there already is a slime kitty pet. It’s from the necro covenant.
eh, the controversy isn’t as big as you think. I think everyone is going to be okay ![]()
hmm…we’ll have to think of something quick, before August 2nd comes ![]()
It’s on Twitter, Wowhead and here so far. Haven’t checked MMO-Champion. But typically no controversy gets bigger than that unless it’s devs inappropriately touching people again.
well, i’d imagine it would be discussed in other places other than the wow forums…yeah…
i just don’t think the outrage is going to be on the same level as like titanforging, or pathfinder or anything. it’s going to be mostly LFR quality players, and burned out shadowlands veterans.
they’re going to change stuff up in PTR…there’s published outrage about that every single one ![]()
Indeed, no one should ever prepurchase because what they were told was coming up may be removed after Blizzard has gotten their money.
Are you sure that’s what you wanted to say?
does it look like that’s what i said? ![]()
Titanforging was in the game for several expansions. There was no sudden change that resulted in a removal of an achievement for people who do LFR. So nothing like it.
Titanforging and Pathfinder got the same attention really. There are a lot of people that don’t do above LFR. I think people underestimate. LFR is in the game because most people weren’t raiding before. It was to give it a reason to still be funded.
The only thing they have to do with this is change a tag. They already have the achievements that are still there and still marked as for all difficulties.
They need to admit they made a mistake. But we all know that won’t happen.
yeah - that’s why there’s achievements like AOTC, and unobtainable rewards exist in the game. Slime cat is likely S4’s version of that (though we won’t know for sure until next week) I think the vast majority of players don’t know what they’re doing tbh ![]()
players hardstuck in LFR are below average, but that’s just my opinion based on experience over the years.
If people stop doing LFR then Blizzard has no reason to continue supporting this raid difficulty and can just remove it. Then if people want to raid they’ll have to do normal and actually start socializing with people in a game built off of social interactions. I know I know, oh the humanity!
Guess what without LFR raiding would be discontinued and guess what is funding raids LFR.
Yeah and I imagine those that already got AOTC are some of the ones that took off from the game now until Dragonflight.
uh, no, those players are motivated, and will def be playing in s4…what are you talking about? people doing AOTC are not on the same level as an LFR player…not even close?
final season & pre-patch are extremely popular periods in an expansion’s existence…plus there’s lots of opportunities for collectors at this time.
For newer raids. This is just recycling the old ones with slightly better gear.
Meh, I’d argue all the token sales and store cosmetics/services are what’s keeping the game afloat these days. Remove lfr and casuals are still going to buy tokens for boosts. They aren’t buying tokens to get boosted through lfr lol.
it’s newer raids with a twist…it’s not the same thing. fyi.
