I know im not the only one who complains about this but i gotta.
If u arent playing and orc, blood elf, night elf, or human, you have to put more effort snd decor to make ur home feel like ur race.
One of my “secret tunnel” areas requires using a mix of 5 and 3 decor point items to line the walls and floor. This came out to around 100 decor points JUST TO HAVE THE ROOM WITHOUT ANYTHING IN IT.
meanwhile my human snd night elf friends just add the room and can use all their points on decor making super elaborate housing.
Im currently lvl 10 and i dont see myself using anymore of my housing room points. If i hit 12 i MIGHT have enough to finish the rooms i currently have.
Kinda sucks the decor cap is so low. Happy we got all this troll amani themed stuff for my amani house but again. Wish the cap was more

Housing is about playing with what you currently have, not about playing with what you wish you had.

I agree Mossfang. I keep running into limits in all my builds. I was currently making the Nighmare on Elm Street house. The front looks pretty decent, but there is no back. It’s built like a stage prop.
It’s irritating because you get going on builds, let your creativity flow, and BAM! Limits. Doesn’t make me want to farm housing level.

I think everyone would be happy if they did another rescaling for 5 to 3 and 3 to 1. I feel like half the stuff that is 5 is just dated and certain items even that cost 5 should scale down if you shrink them.

“I’m going to force this house to be something that it isn’t” comes with a hefty price. All of the boat builders and spaceship designs, those guys have to keep a wary eye on the decor limit so that their design can be completed.
I did a “whats my most expensive decor” today to just see what I could save on as im at cap.
Lucky hanging lantern going from 5 to 3 would save me almost an insane amount
Ive got 106 Lucky hanging lanterns at 5 a pop. 106 x 5 = 530
If they JUST nerfed lanterns to 3 instead of 5. I would be saving
212 DECOR BUDGET!
Blizzard could even make it so stuff that is scaled LOW like less than 50% costed one tier lower 5 - 3 it would be very nice

Ya but it shouldnt have a hefty price. They dont have themed houses for 90% of the races. Lowering decor costs or highering the cap helps people build their true races houses. Its the compromise to actually getting housing options for every race which we know will be a massive slog

we wouldnt NEED to force our houses to be something it isnt if they werent taking their sweet time with racial house themes, not everyone wants human, night elf, orc or blood elf housing.

not even what i said, besides, they have made not one, not two, not 3, but 4 human houses now. theres the human house everyone gets, the two westfall houses and now a kul tiras house. i get that you dont like housing, but we do. so begone you troll.
