Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
Attempted force update of WoW client.
Performed game repair.
Rebooted router. Forced new WAN IP and DNS refresh.
No issues on any other Blizzard online title or non-Blizzard online title.
Details:
Every 5-10 attempts, there is a black screen after “Logging in to game server,” and the character selection screen can sometimes be seen for a split second before the “You have been disconnected…” message appears.
I and others on Twitter have successfully gotten the loading screen to appear by repeatedly hitting Enter during the above black screen/character select page, but loading stalls at about 90%. I tried logging into alts by quickly pressing Down Arrow > Enter during the black screen, and it did let me choose other characters who were logged out in other zones, but none worked. The following cities failed to load: Oribos, Orgrimmar, Dalaran (Broken Isles), Zuldazar.
UPDATE:
WoW Classic client works without issue. I can log into the game and play my character normally. Only the 9.0.2 Shadowlands client has the above issues.

I’m having this issue on my iMac. Still running Catalina, been really reluctant to update to Big Sur.
The last post was it was a client issue. If I mash the enter key fast enough I can start to load but is stalls at around 75%. So I am logged in. It just won’t complete the load. I have a stalled load going on right now.
I do think an ETA would be a nice touch. Do I hang around or just forget about using the little time I have available.

same here. I reset everything to default, checked my drivers and went to the company website everything is up to date. this makes no sense.

Tried everything in the book. How do you mess it up like this? No one can even find what works and what doesn’t. It works here but not there but xyz. Makes no sense from a technical standpoint without tools to see what’s happening on the other side. If I was them, I wouldn’t have found yet it either.
