Initially when this began 2 hours ago, I was on the Zul’jin realm. I thought it was me, so I took all actions to reset my router, my IP address, clear cache, flush my DNS, and rebooted. I switched to another toon on the Proudmoore realm and am having the same lag.

Thanks for keeping us posted in this thread that the issue is still being adressed.

When you cancel your plans for new years eve to sit at home and play wow all night but then wow cancels on you…

Having troubles on Moonguard, most notably with looting, quests, vendoring, and group finder. Mounting and combat is unaffected. Battle net chat is also taking several seconds to send/receive messages within game but chatting through the battle net window itself is fine.

I’m on Area 52 server and the lag is making questing take 10 times as long, and this lag shows all the signs of a DDOS.

I cant believe this is happening on new years eve. Not all of us are going out. I really wanted to play some BGs

We know it will be fixed. How do you know their “top people” are working on it though? It is new years eve, I would imagine a large percentage are home with their families right now. Thank you for posting the obvious and continuing to add nothing to this thread.

Moon guard was working for a little bit and then died again. Bummed. Headphones and WoW was kind of my escape plan for drowning out the scary noises of new years…

No not this. This is what we PAY them for. The fact its been over an hour of basically unplayable BS on new years is unacceptable. Do not belittle that fact with thanking them for doing what we pay them to do.

I am thanking the guys and gals that have to work tonight. I know they are doing their jobs, but it still sucks to have to work on New Years Eve.
