Is that a real question? There is no more wf/ tf/ socket/ corruption. The end of dungeon gear is doa as anything but starter gear for anyone capable of clearing heroic in the first month.
Uhh, the last year of MoP and all of WoD says otherwise.
PvP items will fill that role better at a higher ilvl. You think mythic raiders are going to fill holes with sub heroic level end of dungeon gear? LoL.
Mythic+ end of dungeon loot will basically be the same as heroic loot.
Slightly worse if identical stats. Better in cases where the raid doesn’t offer your best two stats since mythic+ covers every stat combo for every slot except weapons.
Better or worse depending on trinket effects because 3 item levels is so close the effects will make the difference.
And the perk of not having a lockout to farm for it.
It would be great to see it expanded upon. I guess they are making this choice to ‘balance’ it with other systems? See really strange but ultimately only a 3 item level difference.
Most of you depend on the M+ chest for upgrades anyways. Most end of dungeons rewards get sold of disenchanted. All this effects is that start of expansion gearing rush. In a few weeks you’ll only have eyes for the chest.
The more dungeons you do the greater the chances for that BIS. No need to farm for multiple RNG procs. If anything gearing is more straightforward and rewarding since you can pick what you want.
Oh… and did you know in this patch… yes I mean today - during n’yalotha! the last two mythic bosses drop higher ilvl gear than any M+ chest can provide?
No this won’t break M+. If you enjoy M+ today you’ll enjoy it in SL.
And yet, players flooded these forums complaining about LFR players getting free mythic gear.
It will be worse than heroic loot. With no redeeming quality to keep it relevant past the first few weeks of the tier. Dungeon rewards go back to being starter gear.

Yes. The real perk of getting to WoD style raid log. So much “fun.”
apparently all it took to kill m+ was a 1.5% reduction in ilvl compared to heroic raids… yeah… 1.5%… 3 item levels.
“oh but we’re only getting one loot drop per dungeon” yeah… thats 1 piece for 5 people. 20% chance of each person getting something, and thats if you DON’T time it. if you do time it you get a second piece and now its 40% chance of loot per dungeon.
compared to raid where its a 20% chance of loot OR LESS (1 item per 5 people, so if you have 14, you still only get 2 pieces)
and thats completely ignoring the fact that raw ilvl rarely actually matters that much for BIS. if something from m+ is BIS, then its gonna be BIS even if a similar item has a tiny bit of a higher ilvl. the mechagon rings are a perfect example, those are BIS rings for many specs, with even the m15 versions out-simming any 2 mythic rings you could wear. and guess what… those have considerably more than a 1% ilvl difference between them.
in fact as we speak, I am using a trinket that is 8.75% lower ilvl than “what I could have” another trinket thats 3.15% lower, and bracers that are 2.1% lower… and guess what… those are STILL my BIS items. Raw ILVL doesn’t mean that much, and 1.5% isn’t going to be the difference between if something is BIS or not.
