Death Knight Story line doesn't make sense

Glad I made you smile we all need to smile!

Nothing better and more entertaining than people trying to explain Blizzard’s sloppy lore.

What do you mean? Oh the weird timeline and illogical contradictions?

You mean, like when you do the Death Knight Order Hall, you are told that it’s been only FOUR years since the death of Arthas?
And how everyone is extra eager to please and obey the new Lich King?

Yeah…

Sloppy? your being very very generous I have a more explicit term but due to the family theme forum I can’t say it

But it starts with a blank, Blankety-blank, blank hot train wreck . That 3 monkey could beat out in a day.

Next Warcraft expansion. We hate everyone equally.
After that We love everyone.
After that Were all out of idea lets read GD for some.

You may not have realized this, but Teldrasil was actually a hickory tree and when it went up it infused the them soooo good probably owing to the “low and slow” cooking method.

well tbh, the alliance had two things for them.

1 a vouch letter from tirion.
2 a promise of soldiers for both faction war and war against the scourge.

That jealousy will kill you, again.

but that didn’t happen till long after they were rejected by the alliance. They had done nothing but escaped and survived, and the petty alliance again showed their true nature. Imagine surviving that, and trying to return home, but you’re not pretty enough. But then, this is the same Alliance who, as a human, your first quest is to kill the masons who built your capitol, and then got cheated out of their pay.

Well, Anduin did try to reunite Lordaeron refugees with their undead kin, It didn’t turn out so well. Sylvanas pretty much ordered a scorched Earth when some Undead attempted to return to their families in the meeting.

I guess we could dissolve factions completely, make pvp mandatory and have everyone on free for all. No allies, all enemies. You against the world. No safe sanctuaries.

Very reluctantly.

Have you heard the ruckus they cause when they walk into SW?

People throwing stuff and yelling at them.

As a DK I’m accepted into the Ebon Hold, in fact it’s because of them I’m a DK so that explains that.

As for the rest, they don’t accept DK’s. They throw food, etc… call names til we join with the horde/alliance, then they leave us alone.

Also, we’re not dead in the same sense that the forsaken are if I understand this correctly, we’re in a stasis while the forsaken are very, very slowly rotting.

I could be wrong about that, just what I vaguely recall reading.

  • Re-read your post, OP. The reason alliance accepts DK’s and not forsaken is because DK’s are actually Ebon Blade, meaning that if the alliance/horde gets the DK they also get the Ebon Blade.
    That’s a lot of power.
Also, a DK’s 1st allegiance is to the Ebon Blade, horde/alli are secondary at best.
It’s still a good deal for the factions though. That’s why they accept us.
    Only reason I know of.

They don’t look undead so humans accept them better.

IIRC though, the mass majority of DK’s went horde.

before the storm deals with this.

basically sylvanas is(was) the biggest reason the forsaken are still estranged from the humans.

she did apparently at one point send an envoy to stormwind shortly after regaining control of their minds, but that was also at the height of the scourges presence on the eastern kingdoms so any and all undead were killed on sight basically.

Fixed that for you.

Don’t get me wrong, 15 years of good times as a member of the horde forsaken, no complaints.

But just storywise, if we were fighting the scourge who took our countrymen, and a group of them broke free, if I were king we’d have a parade, and use them as positive propaganda that the scourge weren’t undefeatable, it isn’t hopeless, look, these folks broke free. Then put them in strategic positions in the war, knowing the enemy tactics, and being the best enemy of my enemy, having been victims.

No point, just something I always felt didn’t make sense.

Power. DK’s bring the Ebon Blade, an army. Forsaken are on their own with one fault, Sylvanas can control them (I think).

Also, since we’re both dead neither really wants us and if it wasn’t for the power of EH, I don’t think they’d accept us either.
