Dear Raider IO

Never stated that it did. I offer my own experinces as an example so that others might learn a diffrent approach.

Incorrect I said that what you cited (timing a single 15 per week and having a low score) is a rarity. To do this you would have to keep timing the same +15 over and over again. Furthermore it would show that you had x amount of timed runs in the +15 bracket.

Now I deducted that you were implying that people would gate such a person because they would think they had bought a carry.

That would not be the case if people read all of the information available in that case. But I went farther and even tried to show how you could succeed in a worse situation that of only having a single successful run in the +15 bracket.

You can link alts to your main so that it shows your mains IO score as well.

You don’t have to use the addon for it to show up on other peoples tooltips. I gathered you knew this as in a previous response you had said “Yes it should be obvious to you that I’m aware.” You have to specificly opt out. And doing this is usually a red flag. So not using the addon has nothing to do with you not getting into groups. At most it would be why the groups that you put together without using it would fail.

And I have yet to hear why its not a viable option.

You don’t own anyone elses key therefore its not your right to be invited its a privilege which needs to be earned you do that by putting in the work to gain experience in lower keys to show that you understand your class and the mechanics well enough to succeed.

If you don’t want to do that then you can run your own key and you no longer have to worry about gate keeping.

Failing that you could work an hour overtime and buy a carry.

I didn’t dismiss your opinion. I dismissed the idea that running a +15 every week and having a low score would be common. This is based not on opinion but simple facts as you can look up the numbers. Furthermore having a differing opinion is not dismissive… Its shockingly having a different opinion.

You take offence not give it. This makes you a thief and I want my offensiveness back…

Perhaps but that is what I deducted from your responses. To be fair I could have misintrepted that and I’ll take you at your word for it.

How do you know? I ask because I often see people state this who are not specifically told why they are denied from a group. It could be because

  • They are looking for a specific buff.
  • They are looking for a spec with an ability to overcome an affix like knock back on sanguine.
  • There may have been higher ilvl characters that applied.
  • A guildy might have logged on and they invited him instead
  • A friend might have logged on and they invited him instead
  • Your class/spec might do poorly on a specific affix like disc on bursting
  • They might be armor stacking
  • There might be 50+ people who applied
  • They may just not like your name

How can you possibly know its not any of the above reasons (and all of these listed have been reasons that I have denied someone from the group?)

So even when its clear that you’ve lost an argument you can’t admit that your wrong. This more then anything else may be why you find it difficult to add friends. People generally find it distasteful when people can’t admit their wrong.

This more then anything shows me however that further responses are unnecessary. I don’t think it is possible to show you alternatives let alone change your mind.

I wish you the best of luck in your future adventures in Azeroth.
