You can’t have the fox guarding the chicken coop. Same way you can’t have void elves guarding the sunwell.
Your class spec is not canon. I am not sure if there are any canon BE shadow priests. I would assume not. Also why would you specifically invite potential disaster to your source of life giving energy? The BEs all still remember the actual pain of going without and the constant risk of turning retched. They are in no way going to risk that because some people want to study void magic.
What’s that logic the Blood elves greatest traitor he had some good revolutionary ideas , we should 100% follow them /s
Especially when we saw what following some of his ideas did in the BE starting quests.
the blood elves kicked you out of Silvermoon because you were following the teachings of Dar’khan Drathir, the very same one who betrayed the high/blood elves to Arthas and opened the force field allowing him to enter into the Ghostlands and Eversong.
also the Sunwell is now powered by the Light and would have dire consequences if elves infused with void were to always be near it (look what happened when Alleria showed up for a brief moment).
you guys literally were told to stop doing what you were doing or you would be kicked out, said “screw you guys, you aren’t the boss of me” and continued doing it anyways. and then later you find out the reasons for getting kicked out (Drathir’s teachings) and even then continued following it because “it will be different with us, we can control it.”
The thought of that makes me /shudder
I think the Void Elves leaving was dumb. Yes I agree they shouldnt be allowed near the sunwell. But they should be fine being alllowed to practice their magic in the Ghostlands or something.
Wait why am I even allowed near the sunwell? Last time a demon took a dip in it the sunwell was corrupted with fel for a long time…
From what I recall, the Sunwell was initially corrupted when Arthas sprinkled Kel’thuzad’s ashes all over the place and not when Kil’jaeden decided to take a bath.
For all I know, the Sunwell has no issues with fel magic so go ahead and take a dip if you wish.
Said no level headed player ever. Who the hell even says “void elf traitors” unless you’re on one those rp servers.
So… That never happened.
No…not it may not have happened to the Sunwell itself but it did happen when the Burning Legion came after Azeroth the very first time when the High Borne (that turned into the High Elves and now call themselves the Blood Elves) was willing to give up the Well of Eternity to the Legion.
What Dripik said Arthas sprinkled Kel’thuzads ashes in it to revive him. I kinda call that taking a dip even it was just ashes. Kel’Thuzads name just slipped my mind at the time of writing.
They were still considered traitors and were persecuted for the path they took. Even imprison. Void elves are also being persecuted for fallowing their beliefs on a path people fear and don’t understand.
Why is taking powers from demonic forces is acceptable but us, using the void a threat to all? Especially since priest have been doing that well before we came.
That was shadow (death) magic. Not Fel magic.
Kel’thuzad was a human necromancer (lich) not a demon. In fact Arthas/Ner’zhul was fighting against the Legion not with them.
There is a sorta strange retcon in there. See back then “Shadow” magic was anti “Light” magic. Since then we have split shadow magic into 2 forms. Void/Death so there is not any “Shadow” magic anymore. However Back then The Sunwell was Arcane magic despite the name and as we now know Fel magic is opposite or anti Arcane magic…
Either way what Arthas did corrupted the Sunwell but not into a felwell or anything like that. The blood elves going Fel was a skill they learned from Rommath who learned from Illidan not from the Sunwell corruption. In other words What Arthas did to the sunwell had nothing to do with the bloodelves being Fel besides a cause to the effect.
However Void magic is literally the anti Light magic (now) and so that is why void elves being at the Sunwell is bad because the Sunwell is now light magic. and it reacted negatively to Alleria just being close to it.
Oh please. WE all know all that was a ruse. So that alliance takes you in and you spy for us. Then when time right helps the dark queen invade. You not fooling anyone.
So…being four points of power (Light, Void, Fel, and Arcane) would that mean that there is an automatic line in which is good and which is bad? Or can we honestly say that those who use said power are the ones who corrupt it? Example, The Scarlet Monastery folk took the light and turned it into evil. Despite the fact that plenty of people did use it for good. I can agree that the Void Elves should stay as far away from the Sunwell as possible but to blatantly throw them away as allies? Especially when plenty of people use Void magic already throughout Azeroth…and why would it react to Alleria but not other powerful Void users that have inhabited Quel’thalas? Shadow Priests are a great examplle. Though you say it was “split,” it is still a part of the anti light magic. The story line has become a bit warped. There may be more and I think that Alleria never really did make the Sunwell react as people think. I mean…how come the Sunwell did not react to Arthas right before he rezzed Kel’thuzad…a Death Knight using Death Magic? More to this I’d say.
Technically I didn’t kick you out. Your brethren did.
We told you to stop with the void magic. You didn’t. You almost destroyed the sunwell.
As opposed to what y’all have done? huh…
Uh, they are though?
No…you tried messing with magics of the same person that literally betrayed our people and got 90% of us massacred…
Of magic…of the same type as the person who betrayed our people and got 90% of us killed. There’s a reason it’s forbidden.
I mean…that’s the same magic that the person who betrayed our people was messing with and he led to 90% of the high elf race being destroyed, so I mean…I think it’s pretty reasonable to say “If anyone messes with this crap, you’re getting DAS BOOT”
