Dear Blizzard

WoW general discussion, where 5 out of the 7 top topics are whining about the rotation helper, one whining about adding more solo content and an Asmongold fan thread.

Almost beats when it was all whining about dinars.

One only have to scroll a little farther to find that. Lol

I don’t think so, but I hope not, because that’s one of the reasons I keep abandoning ESO after a couple months – ability usage is boring.

I unsubbed yesterday…I watched that video and the writing is on the wall. It was a good run. Had a lot of fun over the years.

Wow is not wow anymore.
R.I.P.

IF this one key thing is leading into console games…I think no one using console is getting invited to any M+ content, lol
Likey it has nothing to do with consoles.

It wouldn’t. This has a penalty on it. Consoles aren’t simply one button. And that’s not what console players look for in a game.

I dont care about console play as long as extra crap is added for the controllers, not the game literally changed to accomodate it.
Ive played PC versions of console games and they blow chunks…N64 is something I gave up many years ago and I have no intention of playing a dumbed down RPG again.

I doubt this is that. Likely exactly what Ion said…its just a feature for accessibility and for those casuals who want to play the game instead of playing the keyboard

When CoD4 came out I was using a track ball mouse. You’d think it’d be bad, but if you have the muscle memory for it, it can be insane. I ended up banned from so many servers for “hacking” because I played HC FFA, nobody used Dead Silence and I had Turtle Beaches, and after hundreds of hours of playing I basically had every spawn point memorized.

Good times.

THIS is the straw that broke the camels back for you?
Accessibility features are that bad eh.

Or is it you dont want to be out dps’d by a dude half in the bag on his xbox?

Deere John,

It has come to my attention that you are not a real deer, just a Night Elf with horns stuck on your head. This revelation has been so traumatizing for me that I can no longer trust sob

But I’m keeping your daughter.

No…I spent nearly 20 years playing a game where this was considered cheating. The entire soul of the game was learning and playing your character with the abilities and combinations that you could come up with. To have the game play itself for you is not worth 15 dollars a month. It’s not worth 15 cents…it’s not even about the money.

This turns wow into a phone game. It just doesn’t sit right with me at all. Honestly it’s embarrassing. Wow was already cringe enough this is just sad. If it makes it all the way to console it will truly be a laughable experience.

To see this game go from what it once was to a game where they want people to hold down one button and still be competitive is an actual insult and a joke to anyone who has been around since the beginning. It just is. How is a person gonna be running around in full gear while following around people and holding down a button. Like, I am gonna have to share gear with people who don’t even know what there spells are called now? No thank you. The entire purpose of this game is to be a “wizard” of some sorts. Figuring out rotation and what to push when is the entire reason to play. Removing that and forcing people to play with others who are going to be experiencing the same content while not having to actually play the game…is just enough. It’s over. The game is dead.

I’m glad the one handed people can play now. I truly am. But honestly some things are just not meant for disabled people and there is really nothing wrong with that. Imagine watching a football game where they just gave the players points cause they didn’t have hands. Imagine watching a MMA event with fighters who had no legs. Imagine a spelling bee with mentally handicapped kids. Wow isn’t the special Olympics. It’s great they are trying to let those people play but this just feels completely and totally wrong to me.
Call me evil, call me whatever you like. This is a joke.

They won’t for technical reasons. Incompatible rte. they’d need to completely rewrite the client with modern libraries. There’s about a zero percent chance they’re going to do that.

LOL you’re joking right? Switch can’t even handle the most basic of games without lagging and crashing, and you expect it to run WOW? I try to run Ark and Dead by Daylight and all it does is freeze, I hardly doubt this overhyped switch 2 will be much better. Nintendo’s version of graphics for their games a lot less intense than pc, xbox or playstation and they’re not keeping up with modern times. They would rather keep this watered down baby thing we all used to have back in the 90’s that made them so popular. Plus, switch lacks the buttons for you to even try and play this game on it, and if they make it so you can, I’m leaving wow because this game is already simplified enough for the not so smart people who cry all the time

Cast sequence macros and GSE were never considered cheating.

Those of us who use such things for disabilities or others who are elderly or those people whose kids want to play with them will have a native option now that they don’t have to configure.

But GSE has 8.4 million downloads and cast sequences macros have been here the whole time, sir and/or madam.

Yea and people get banned, or use to get banned for using these scripts I know two people who were banned for automated play. A macro isn’t the same thing as holding down a button and following people around. I’m aware people are using add-ons to play for them and have been for some time. Personally I’ve been seeing it more and more and this was coming anyway. Even rwf players obviously are using scripts. I think it’s wrong. And it’s not for me anymore. You’re right though…I probably should have just quit a long time ago. Enjoy your game.

False. People get banned for automation, not in game cast sequence macros. Blizz literally coded macros.

So in other words you have zero clue how this new ability works and are just yet another uninformed angry person for no reason.
