Dear Blizzard: You made the most unfriendly MMO for new or returning players I have ever seen in my life

LOL use the bosst on a new monk and saw all the zomibies around the quest giver on my flying mount. Log off and went back to my other character that’s in ICC.

The funny thing is, the current zombie event is a nerfed down boring fest compared to the chaos that was the wrath zombie pre-patch event.

So if people are rage quitting at this one, they need to grow up and stop acting so fragile.

The tutorial I’m talking about doesn’t have anything to do with zombies, you saying that it gives you a buff is the first I’ve heard about it actually. What it does do is take you to boralus and tell you about chromie so that you can do something other than dying in Redridge or queuing for something other than freehold. Perhaps it’s YOUR reading comprehension that’s lacking?

All these people are trying to help you and are actually being nice about it and you’re ignorantly dismissing them. This is why we can’t have nice things around here.

Except that’s not what happened. People replied to you about your “bad new player experience” and you simply ignored it.

New players and returning players shouldn’t skip it. So that’s on you. Not Blizzard.

At myself, not at Blizzard.

You didn’t skip it for the 15th time. And this event is over in two days. You didn’t get the information you needed because you chose to skip a tutorial you needed. That’s on you.

lol wat… which part?

If your not aware and picked that option, just get into SW, try and make it to the quest board. It is a huge board as you enter SW by the older AH entrance area. That will give you the option to pick up the quest to talk to her and will mark her on map for you. Go to her and honestly the best place to go to level to avoid zombies is probably WOD, pick it up, run to mage tower, do not pick the option they say, pick Honor Hold person in tower and select I need to get to the dark portal. This will avoid having to Run around to get there and get you right to the entrance to talk to NPC and once your into the WOD starter should be free of any zombies and have not noted any Zombies in WOD areas as of yet.

Meh. I have rolled a new monk during prepatch. Did exiles reach and am now level 36. I have not died once due to the pre-patch event. It really isn’t hard and if you can’t manage it, that’s on you.

Not the worst pick up line I’ve heard but I appreciate the effort.

A new and returning player usually does the tutorial… which I believe was done quite well and is very friendly to new and returning players. So seems like a you thing and not a wow thing.

before you say it yes i did read every single post on here but my main question i have to you is simply why did you want to go to iron forge for heirlooms there kinda useless now honestly since you dont get the xp gain anymore.

So you’re upset that you couldn’t hop back into a game and know everything off the bat? I have some bad news for you, if you couldn’t research a 2 week event, you’re gonna have a rude awakening come Shadowlands.

Since you’re a vanilla player, then you’ll understand that back in our day there was a book guide on this game, and I considered it an essential and referenced it often when I had a question. If I couldn’t find the answer, I’d have to ask general or my guild. Now in 2020 we have this wonderful thing called google, and typing in any WoW-related question almost always comes up with the results and info that you need via sources like wowhead, icy-veins, etc.

I understand learning new things can be frustrating, and not having the answer to everything immediately can be annoying, but if you want to be comfortable playing a game and always knowing the rules, then maybe try mahjong, chess, or solitaire.

i was cleaning my garage out yesterday and found my guides up to pandaria i wish they where still a thing i miss them.

Nice blog. I give it 2 troll thumbs up!

I had that problem myself. Turns out you need to actually finish the quest chain before they appear for you.

Oh, just another zombie complaint thread, nothing to see here bois.

this sounds insanely annoying and I would prob be very irritated if it happened to me. I agree, this was horribly implemented for someone like yourself who is returning or to new players. The last thing you want when starting an mmo is to be chain killed repeatedly and preventing you from actually playing the game. Whoever disagree with you I think is just sick of people whining about the pre patch event. But for someone like you I think it is warranted… why should a fresh level 10 player be forced in PvP immediately in their main city and be killed repeatedly. Idk why anyone is arguing with you, thats super annoying lol.

Agreed, this event is not allowing for non PVP players to enjoy the game.

Try getting to Chromie, the whole caverns of time is kill zone for PVP players.

No matter where I have been it has been like that. I hope Blizzard enjoys all the cancelled subscriptions and all the refund requests.

I hope they enjoy all the complaint calls to their corporate office because they have killed WoW retail as far as I am concerned.

How did I know this would be a zombie QQ. Hopefully this gets locked like the other ones.

I wasn’t aware pre expansions were EVER relevant…

Chromie by the embassy and prepatch is not live in alternative timelines like mop or wod. Im not guessing here and this isnt opinion i know because i leveled three characters during the event not a hint of it did i run into.

If that was luck, ive never been more lucky…playing the whole two weeks at random times and durations and i never ran into it? Thats crazy good luck.
