I’ve never once suggested removing the fat option, I dont know why everyone has just assumed I dont want it.

There are good fats and none of them contribute to actual weight gain. Being fat is fat. Don’t have to be obese to have heart problems and such

Character creation screens in WoW should just be like the Sims already. All hairs on all models (we all use the same barber makes sense, no?), fat, not fat, more eye colors etc. I’d really like it if they would let us have the option to have the old human models cause they’re so ugly now :frowning:

Edit- Old tauren models too cause yikes I haven’t hid my helm on my shaman since they were changed.

Fat only is the worst decision ever. We already have Pandarens, and look at how popular those are.

Honestly, my entire decision around playing Alliance this expansion is based on whether or not we’ll have thin Kul’Tirans.

It looks like I’ll be sticking with Horde for the rest of BFA, or in four days when my sub runs out!

Yup, heart disease will stem more often from visceral fat. This is found surrounding the organs of thin and obese people alike. It tends to be in people who consume heavy amounts of caffeine, alcohol, or who smoke. Being “fat” is like being “ugly”, it’s subjective and heavily depends on what part of the world you live in. Obesity is objective and is based off of your BMI.

Good fats absolutely contribute to weight gain. Anything consumed adds to weight gain minus the few items that actually consume calories just chewing (celery). Your body uses all fats, however monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats, in moderation, can be very useful in lowering cholesterol, and in giving you the energy necessary to build muscle.

I’m not saying these things as a “gotcha”, more as nice, healthy information. :wink:

FYI, I’m a 6’ 180 lb pescatarian, and a partial owner of a health food restaurant chain. I love offering food advice to people. I also like Rubenesque women. :slight_smile:

You know what, I agree with OP. I’ve noticed that the models circulating are fatter than the “thick” KT humans we play with in quest chains. Some of those people look like legit beefy athletes, and I wouldn’t mind that at all, but this Lady Ashvane looking stuff is both unbelievable and not part of my fantasy universe when it comes to choosing an avatar in an RPG.

Like the men who play female toons rather than look at ugly male faces and unrealistic male bodies (really, the male toons should be better than they are in this game), I don’t want to play someone who looks sloppy in a game where my role is to be a heroic adventurer who rides animals into battle, runs for miles each day, and achieves amazing feats of athletic agility on the daily (even the casters do this). Ain’t none of us gonna be sloppy fat.

It’s different with Pandaren. They’re bears. It makes sense for them to be rotund…but the KT models we’re seeing aren’t rotund. They’re not muscular big people with a little padding. They’re grossly overweight.

I’m a chubby 44 year-old housewife with a BA in history. I love my life, and I do what I can to keep myself looking good for my husband and healthy. I don’t need to look like a middle-aged dumpy couch potato in my fantasy games.

I play a dwarf because she’s stout and beautiful. She’s not fat. Honestly, she looks a bit like me, only more muscular. Ha ha. The KT fat model is a bridge too far.

On my Horde toons, I always wish I had a horse mount that wasn’t a skeletal dead horse. Sigh.

I agree, but I’d like to see better customization around the board.

Humans that can be taller or shorter, thicker or thinner.
Worgen that can be more muscular which reflects in their wolf form.
Forsaken that can look more like Abominations or more like Nathanos
Night Elves… that are on fire.

The potential is limitless.

The mustang drop mount from Arathi changes between factions. There’s also the abomination that is Goldenmane (I’m bitter it’s the only drop mount I’ve looted in BFA), so there’s at least 2 options for you :smiley:
