Dead game again

If you can’t score kills with the amount of CC in the game, that is a you problem, not an issue with healers.

WoD had a low player count in general and for many reasons outside of pruning. Also, I don’t believe they should just remove buttons and replace them with nothing. Make the remaining abilities more impactful and meaningful. As I said, a game should be easy to pick up and hard to master. I don’t call for these changes to make my life easier. I do it because I honestly believe it’s better for the health of the game long-term.

You guys are crazy to say remove solo shuffle. Play wrath if you want maintain that level of gatekeeping.

Solo shuffle is a way for new players to learn the game. Imagine that, new players learning arena. You instead want them to be constantly denied to groups from insecure people who ask for 2400 achieve at 1500 CR. “LF heals 1500 pushing to 1700 link at least 2400” that isn’t even mentioning these same toxic nerds will berate you, call you trash and make you feel like a worthless PoS just for existing.

You know what the new player does after experiencing that? Quits or does casual PvP such as world or BGs. We aren’t your therapists for you to offload your insecure toxicity on how everything is someone else’s fault and not your own.

Solo shuffle is totally cool because it gets these same nerd ragers REALLY triggered as there are no voice comms or ability to leave on a high horse since leaving ruins 6 games of arena. I’d say we could do with even MORE solo shuffle

Again, play Wrath - it’s on the same launcher FFS. That game is perfect for toxic elitism. Or just get good and become wholesome like most of the r1 players. Your choice.

I agree with everything you said other than the pruning.

But one thing you forgot to mention are all the procs you need to keep track of in PvP and how impossible it is unless you use addons.

Be honest, how many players are capable of using the default interface to understand all those little squares on their screen popping in and out all the time and knowing what each one is?

And my other complaint is a simple one to fix. The health/power bar for you and the enemy can’t be moved… no, not the portraits. More often than not I’m in a corner or in a building and those health/power bars end up in some strange places that are hard to keep track of. I wish we could move them and lock them in place.

And in PvE the health/power bar of a large boss can end up way on top of the screen in a very odd place that takes your eyes of things you need to avoid on the ground.

Links please (no troll).

I don’t think we have public data from blizz on classic, though I agree that retail is popping right now (as expected with new xpac). I imagine there will be a bump in wrath classic when Ulduar drops.

I’m loving this expansion, including the PvP.

Only thing missing is 5v5 needs to come back again, and we need a solo queue RBG option.

I love how they’ve been balancing aggressively for pve and PvP. I feel like they’re listening to feedback. I’ve enjoyed season 1 pvp in DF way more than SL.

A few more tweaks and things should feel great.

However, as usual, I’m worried about some of these PvE trinkets getting into PvP.

They’ve been pretty good about nerfing potentially problematic trinkets by a hefty % and then there’s the trinket bonus that’ll hopefully keep most people using the pvp stuff.

When I say simplify I mean reduce the homogenization in the game. Perhaps I used the wrong word so I’m sorry, De-homogenization is probably a better term.

I’m not calling to reduce the barriers to entry, I’m criticizing people in the thread who think taking something that isn’t fun and putting a bunch of carrots in it will some how make it fun to people. Its ludicrous.
Also WoD sucked for way more reasons than pruning. For one, the phone game cough cough I mean garrison system completely murdering the social element of the game. WoW was officially a lobby game at that point.

Where am I making a strawman exactly? I read the threads posted on this forum, and in general people don’t dislike arena as a format, but nearly everything else surrounding it. The social element of the game is dead, so people were relegated to pugging in LFG and having a miserable time. So they clamor for solo queue, and they get it and still have a miserable time. Sure there are a couple of delusional folks here and there, disappointed with their lack of success and blaming the game, but from what I can observe, people aren’t having fun. Even with their apparent success, I see skilled players, along with unskilled players simply not enjoying the game. A lot of that has to do with how PVP combat plays right now which I detailed here:

As for this

The problem with WoW PVP is two pronged one, reducing the barrier to entry or putting carrots in front of people is exactly what I’m arguing against. The social element of WoW is pretty much dead, and the actual combat of the game isn’t enjoyable for most people. Even die-hard fans of WoW arena point out the problems with combat that I highlighted above. That is not to say combat in general sucks, but something has surely changed over the years for people to really like the old combat, and really dislike the new combat.

You’re so wrong it makes wrong ppl right. Not going to even bothered…. You make trolls look mad. At least they are entertaining.

Hey I worked hard for my one time BFA glad. Not because playing RMP was hard to play, but finding teammates in LFG and juggling rogue egos took finesse.
