Currently I have been trying to loot this explorer bag for 45 seconds and counting. Not just me mind you. Same for people in this zone and friends taking 10sec to the bag just disappearing in other zones.

There’s been stuff like that in WoW since day one of phasing.
Mineral nodes that disappear once you get close enough, but reappear if you move away…
I remember Wyrmtongue Chests on Broken Shore working much in the same way as you describe that explorer satchel happening to you, just having them disappear, but they’re on the minimap taunting you.
Idk, I’ve accepted long ago that looting items from the world will always be buggy to some degree.

But they aren’t disappearing. Looking right at it and its contents. They just aren’t lootable.
Weird, I haven’t had an issue like that before. I’ve had them disappear in front of me, but nothing like that.
Generally that means the server that handles the loot database had a glitch or is bogged down. Could be an interconnect issue or actual trouble on that server, or some form of attack.
I just chock it up to a glitch and move on. I do agree blizzard has a history of not being super solid on that but their servers are pretty stable now.
Edit: really I would blame that more on code than the servers actually. The code that spawns that item/checks the database during loot is where that is screwing up.
“DDOS attack” is the common scapegoat.
I have serious doubts anyone still gives enough of a sht to attack blizzard’s servers anymore.

There a delay in the game ,on the map it says it’s there and even when you see it either disappears or is unclickible . I don’t think it a DDos attack.
Well that’s ridiculous.
“The server runs on a hamster wheel” has been an IT joke since much longer than that.
