Day 10 mil of caster meta

Because I actually pvp, give people a good group to pvp with, and genuinely want the game to be good

That only lasted until 9.0.5 when the nerfs happened and then they were never buffed again for the rest of the expansion

(And continued to get nerfed because ashen hallow over performing in pve warranted every ability getting nerfed by 17% instead of just… nerfing ashen instead)

I was pushing glad like week 3 of the season

I just remember paladins running around with infinite mana, never casting anything and doing absolutely insane damage

People disagree with you so they’re fanbois/gals

But if there’s a fanclub I want in.

Yeah and then that got addressed in 9.0.5 which was halfway through

Divine favor has been nerfed 6 times since you played it

It used to make immune to silence, 25 sec cd, remove mana cost of next spell, increased healing by 100%, reduce cast time

Now it doesn’t make immune to silence, is still purgeable, 45 sec cd, increased healing by 60%, less cast time reduction and doesn’t remove mana cost

I hate the instant cast heal meta, I want to get as far away from it as possible (for all healers)

I wish I took a screenshot of the hpal I saw do 36m in a random

He wasn’t even playing melee wings, and was tanking joker all game. Was easily one of the funnest deepwinds I’ve ever had

2.5 sec cast holy light isnt it

8000 mana cost flash of light that doesn’t give holy power if not used on a beacon isnt it either

In a 1v1 situation, most melee have an advantage over most casters. Casters have to play near perfectly, and arms warrior with ignore pain is possibly the strongest duelist in the game especially with all the added consumables possible in a random BG setting.

In solo shuffle melee was dominant at the beginning of DF. The leaderboards are still inflated by it. If you look only at current players you’ll see it’s trending massively towards ranged specs.

I have 9 70s. A mixture of melee and casters and all 3 hunter specs. If I want to relax and not focus too hard and still do well, I swap to marksman hunter or destro lock or shadowpriest. If I want to be constantly under stress getting aoe CCd by people not even targeting me, while watching my health bar jump around like a yo-yo, I play melee. I prefer melee in WoW. I always have, but it’s significantly more stressful to play in any group setting, especially if you aren’t queued with a dedicated healer which is 98% of my BGs.

Good News! You’re the President. You actually get to decide who gets in and who doesn’t.

I think you and I agree that hpal needs adjustments, I just don’t want blizzard to do to hpal what they did to disc priest

(they realized it and nerfed expiation thankfully)

Demo, Bm, Destro, arcane, frost, shadowpriest, ele, survival, DH, Boomy, Feral, sub, sin, blood, affi would like to have a word with you

It needs to go back to mop hpal everything since legion has been an abomination

Preservation evoker just highlights how stupid and bad hpal design is. Their essence is a significantly better version of holy power and while our holy power generators cost 15-22% of base mana, their essences cost 1.2% of base mana. Its ridiculous

I started playing hpal in cata and it’s the only spec i’ve ever played since. Until the legion rework, hpal was a full caster healer with a ton of ranged damage options and really solid single target healing. Hpal in mop felt amazing mechanically, it pretty much had everything a healer could want in a spec.

Mastery gave an absorb from overhealing (something hpal does a lot of today still but gets nothing for it now). Wog could be glyphed to become a heal over time. Wog could be used offensively for damage. We weren’t restricted to 3 holy power, we could use 1-2. Using judgment made your next flash of light have reduced cast time. Beacon of light could be glyphed to be off the gcd and macroed to flash of light to always get holy power from it. Denounce was like having smite as hpal

Never saw this version of hpal I started pvping in shadowlands

Can we go back to MoP for most specs too? I’d actually just main rogue again if I could play MoP sub instead of the abominations that are the current rogue specs.

If I ever got 1v1d by any warlock spec on my warrior in a random BG I’d probably uninstall lmao. Warrior has counter to bleeds and poisons. DBTS and ignore pain hard counter basically any melee. Double bladestorm with double charge counters roots. I can go on and on. Yes a frost mage playing perfectly could with good root rng, beat an arms warrior. The arms warrior playing mediocre will beat the frost mage 9/10 times.

Absolutely :blue_heart: i really hope mop classic happens, so many classes i never got to try

It’s funny that no one can even see how good you actually are

You don’t really have any credibility on the subject unfortunately

I beat several as MM 1v1 in 61-69, not sure how that translates to 70. I think I was rage starving them by keeping them in range so they couldn’t charge.

I leveled K in… I want to say Cataclysm. I remember MoP and agree, I also liked all class balance compared to now but all the KBs on my MM helped my flagging ego after all the deaths on K.

I can’t imagine a situation where a warrior with full CDs can stick to my warlock outside of spear. Soulburn port, gateway, death mortal coil, perma exhaustion gg target someone else redbar nerd!

This is the only thing I wouldn’t want to come back into the game

I’ve been told horror stories about this ability

I would love for hpal to be like that, we all would

I liked denounce.

You have no idea the evils I will commit in her name. Her reign will be glorious.
